Two heads are better than one. That is what my Grade 7 teacher, the late Mrs. Chimedza, used to say during group exercises in class. Back then, group work sometimes felt like a drag. Looking back, I realize it planted an important seed: the value of teamwork.

Whether in school or at work, collaboration often makes the difference between just completing a task and achieving something meaningful. I have seen it time and again. Teams that communicate, support one another, and share responsibility tend to hit deadlines, deliver quality, and reach goals faster and more efficiently.

Here is why teamwork matters in the workplace:

✅ It distributes workload and reduces burnout
✅ It brings diverse perspectives that lead to better problem-solving
✅ It encourages learning and growth as team members share skills
✅ It builds trust and a sense of belonging among colleagues
✅ It aligns individual effort to a shared vision and purpose

Do not forget that "Chara chimwe hachitswanyi inda." 😂

Seeing students from Guruve Primary School carrying bricks to build new classrooms made me realize that we often make excuses for not achieving our goals.

We say 'I didn't have the right resources' or 'I attended a bad school.' But the truth is, these students are building their own future with limited resources. It made me think about the power of resilience, determination, and community.

If they can build their future with what they have, surely you and I can do better with the resources we have. Believe it or not, many successful individuals are and will come out of that school. We need to decide... Are you going to be the one that was destroyed by circumstances or the one built by circumstances? It's time to stop making excuses and start making progress!

𝙀𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨? 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙣!

As a Communications Specialist, let me tell you—musambonyara kuenda kuma exhibitions! Whether it’s a farmers’ expo, health fair, or agric-show, these events are gold for both you and the organization you represent.

Here’s why we should show up and show out:

✅Networking magic – Real talk, nothing beats face-to-face connections. You meet people, swap contacts, and plant seeds that grow into strong partnerships.

✅Content heaven – Photos, videos, live stories, reels… you name it! Exhibitions give us the perfect content to boost our social media.

✅Brand visibility – Want people to know what you and your org are about? Exhibitions are the stage! It’s awareness-raising in real time. Kuenda kuma exhibitions kunoita kuti zita renyu ribude mumapepanhau.

✅Fresh ideas – You don’t just talk, you listen. Seeing how others present themselves sparks creativity and sharpens your own game. Unoona zvekuita nevamwe, zvinokuvhura pfungwa.

✅New clients & collabs – Exhibitions open doors. Sometimes, all it takes is one good convo to land your next big gig or partner.

And let's be honest... pane ka kufara kaunonzwa when you're out there, representing your brand with pride, engaging with people, and watching your work come to life right in front of you.

So next time munhu akakubvunza kuti urikuuya here kuExhibition… upindure neconfidence: “Ndiri kuuya nemaBanner angu ese!"😂

A lot more than people often imagine.

I have come to realize that communication is not just about messages; it is about representation, inclusion, and access. When we amplify the voices of rural farmers, spotlight women-led small businesses, or translate key information into local languages, we are not just sharing content — we are breaking barriers.

In Zimbabwe, inequality manifests in various forms, including urban versus rural access to information, gender gaps in economic opportunities, and the representation of whose stories are told in the media. As communicators, we have the power — and responsibility — to shift this.

Whether it is through community radio, inclusive storytelling, or digital campaigns that reach the last mile, our work can make the invisible visible. We help level the playing field by making sure everyone’s voice counts.

Let us keep using our platforms to inform, include, and inspire change. That’s how we move closer to achieving SDG 10 — one story at a time.

Sensationalism might attract views, but it destroys trust! Ethical storytelling means:

✅ Using accurate headlines.
✅ Providing balanced reports.
✅ Respecting the audience’s intelligence.

Let’s call out clickbait culture and demand better content! Who’s with me?

Did you know misinformation and disinformation are not the same?

📌 Misinformation = False or misleading information shared unknowingly.
📌 Disinformation = False information spread deliberately to deceive.

Both can cause confusion, panic, and even harm! Always fact-check before you share.
