That commitment to empowering others has fuelled the remarkable success of Getting Real with Simmy. In less than two years, the podcast has surpassed 230 episodes, a milestone that reflects both consistency and dedication.
"What has kept me going is knowing that every conversation has the potential to make a difference in someone's life," she says. "Every guest brings a unique story, lesson, or perspective that deserves to be heard. Showing up consistently, even on the difficult days, can lead to meaningful impact over time."
As the podcast approaches its second anniversary this August, Simphiwe looks back with gratitude. Although every episode has left a lasting impression, one memory stands above the rest.
"The very first episode will always be the most memorable," she recalls. "I was still finding my footing and wondering whether the questions I was asking were the right ones. But I started anyway."
That decision to begin, despite uncertainty, has become one of the defining lessons of her journey.
