Open Call: Music Connects Africa

Calling all independent music artists, DJs, producers and artist & label managers based in Zimbabwe!
Are you ready to take your music career to the next level?

Apply for the Music Connects Africa programme, a music accelerator programme designed to support your music career and business growth. Selected participants will benefit from music business masterclasses, financial support, market access, mentorship and live showcase opportunities.

Who should apply?
→ Applicants aged 18+ based in Zimbabwe
→ Independent Artists NOT signed to a record label
→ Artist Managers or Indie Record label managers with at least one (1) music artist signed to them
→ Must have 3 years’ experience with a proven track record of professionally released music online or performing live
→ Young people, women and those from underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply )

Music Connects Africa Showcase in Pictures!

The Music Connects Africa showcase event featured exhibitions of work produced during the programme and performances by some of the 2025 cohort of the programme who included afro pop artist , afro soul and jazz vocalist , as well as hip-hop artists and Bulawayo-based .

The showcase demonstrated the incredible potential of Zimbabwe’s music creatives when given the right tools, investment, and opportunities.
