Chawonza calls for unity and peace within DeMbare family, urges support to save team from relegation

Former Dynamos vice chairman Vincent Chawonza has called for unity and peace within the Dynamos family, urging all stakeholders to stop pointing fingers at each other over the team’s poor performance and instead focus on helping the club avoid relegation.

Chawonza believes the club's struggles are being worsened by internal divisions, starting from the leadership, through to former players and even the fans, which he says is unhealthy, especially during this critical time.

“Dynamos is a big club. We all love it. So I urge the Dynamos family to prioritise unity and peace at this crucial time when the team needs to survive relegation,” Chawonza said.

“I don’t think blaming each other will solve anything. If anything, it only makes the situation worse. As Chazunguza, we have always been known for our unity, that has been our strength over the years.

“There are ten games left, and the team is currently in the relegation zone. This is the time to show each other love.

"A pat on the back, especially for the players, goes a long way in motivating them. It’s more vital now than ever.”

DeMbare revived their hopes of survival last weekend with a crucial 1-0 win over MWOS at Rufaro Stadium.

Reports indicate that Sakunda Holdings, along with Harare businessman Brighton 'Panjap' Ushendibaba, have pledged to pay the team’s winning bonuses.

They started with the MWOS match and will do so until the end of the season, an initiative that aligns with Chawonza’s call for collective support.

FC Platinum has responded to claims that at least two of its players have been suspended for the 5-2 loss to Scottland FC last Saturday.

The two are suspected, by their coach Norman Mapeza and the club, to have fixed the match.

Mapeza was reportedly shaken by the loss (the first time he has conceded five goals) to an extent he refused to believe that it happened naturally or fairly.

Chahwanda Stadium (The Heart Main Arena) in Kwekwe is going to be the most beautiful stadium in Zimbabwe (after the National Sports Stadium in Harare).

Being built by Prophet Walter Magaya and his business partner Shepherd Chahwanda, it is expected to accommodate around 15,000 fans, meet FIFA standards and hopefully host the national team.

The stadium will be home to Chahwanda's Hard Rock FC which plays in the Central Soccer League - Zifa.

Knowledge Musona replaced his young brother and club captain Walter Tatenda Musona in Scottland's 5-2 demolition of FC Platinum on Saturday.

The image below captures his first step into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Musona never played in Zimbabwe's top flight, having been identified and signed by South African giants Kaizer Chiefs from Aces Youth Academy.

We would die to know the exchange between the two Warriors' stars that got them wearing similar smiles.

Kwekwe Queens make six additions in mid-season transfer window, including Highlanders Royals goalkeeper

In a bid to steer clear of relegation, Kwekwe Queens have reinforced their squad with six new signings during the mid-season transfer window.

The club ended the first half of the Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League (ZWPSL) campaign just above the relegation zone.

“We can officially confirm that Kwekwe Queens have signed six players in this mid-season transfer window,” the Midlands-based club announced.

Focusing on strengthening their attack, the Queens have brought in two wingers, Anita Ncube and Chalerne Mukucha, along with attacker Tabeth Sialupa, a promising talent scouted from Gokwe.

The club also added attacking midfielders Natalie Mbavha and Delien Mbawa.

Defensively, they secured the services of goalkeeper Lindokuhle Mkhwananzi, who joins from Highlanders Royals.

The new recruits are expected to make their debut next Saturday when Kwekwe Queens face Chapungu Queens, following the conclusion of the ZWPSL mid-season break.

Bosso confirm another player departure

Highlanders has just surprised its fans on Transfer Deadline Day by letting go of one of their cover players McKinnon Mushore, to rivals Simba Bhora.

Quite an interesting decision by the Bosso executive considering the team is not totally safe from the chop and has already lost a key player, Mafious Chihweta, to rivals Scottland.

McKinnon, brother to Mason, has been sent on loan for the remainder of the season.

Mason, on the other hand is preparing for trials in Europe which if successful might see him move before the end of the season.

Did you know Tino Kadewere's latest move made him the second Zimbabwean player ever to sign for Aris Thessaloniki in the Greek Super League?

The first Zimbabwean to play for Aris was former Warriors star Kennedy Nagoli in the early 2000s.

The only defenders capable of stopping this attack...are already at Scottland 🥱

Pakaipa boys and girls, Mabviravira is definitely eyeing a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League trophy in its maiden season.

The new moneybags are a point behind defending champions Simba Bhora FC.

Talk of a top four finish with such an attack doesn't hold water. Taramba!!!

- Khama Billiat as CAM
- Terrence Dzvukamanja and Knowledge Musona as FWs
- Walter Tatenda Musona on the LW and;
Mafious Chihweta on RW.

Plus ma sub ano starter ku Dynamos.
