KASESE DEMOLITIONS TURN TRAGIC AS WOMAN REFUSES TO LEAVE HER CABIN 😢💔

In a heartbreaking turn during the demolitions in Kasese, Kariba, a woman shocked onlookers when she declared she would not leave her cabin — even if it meant dying inside.

Faced with the destruction of her only shelter, the woman stood her ground and told officials they could go ahead and demolish the structure, with her still inside. “If you're going to destroy it, then destroy me too,” she reportedly said in front of stunned witnesses.

Her words were not just emotional — they echoed the deep pain, frustration, and hopelessness many residents are feeling. Like many others in Kasese, she had poured her life savings into securing a stand and setting up temporary shelter while working toward building a home.

KASESE RESIDENTS LEFT IN TEARS AS MUNICIPALITY DEMOLISHES CABINS 😢💔

Today in Kasese, Kariba, families were left devastated as the Municipality moved in to demolish makeshift cabins built by residents who had purchased residential stands in the area.

These cabins, though temporary, were homes to many — built with hope by people trying to develop their stands while waiting to build permanent houses. With nowhere else to go, many residents had invested everything they had into setting up shelter for their families.

Some residents claim they received no clear warning or alternative from the authorities before the action was taken.

There is growing concern and anger within the community. People are asking: why is the same Municipality that allocated these stands now destroying the structures of those trying to settle?

This heartbreaking situation has left many calling for answers, compassion, and transparency. The people of Kasese deserve respect and fair treatment. These are not just structures being destroyed — they are dreams, lives, and the future of families.
