Women, Climate Change & Labour Shifts in Zimbabwe's Rural Artisanal Mining Communities

In this episode we talk to Dr. Edwick Madzimure, the Wilpf Zimbabwe Founding Director. She takes us through how the changing climate is reshaping rural livelihoods in Zimbabwe. Many women, she says, are being driven from unpredictable rainfed agriculture into artisanal mining. This episode reveals the human side of climatic, environmental, and economic shifts, highlighting resilience, changing gender roles, and the urgent challenges faced by women and girls in Zimbabwe's rural communities. Watch to understand how climate, livelihoods, and opportunity are colliding in ways that demand attention and action.
