Heavy rains that fell in Nyanga earlier today caused flooding at the Nyamhuka–Rochdale pedestrian access bridge, locally known as Kondo, temporarily cutting off movement between the two areas. Floodwaters covered the bridge for over 30 minutes, forcing pedestrians to wait as crossing became unsafe.

Residents are urged to avoid crossing flooded rivers and bridges during this rainy season, as fast-moving water poses serious danger.
