Breaking News : Retired Brigadier General Victor Rungani has been declared National Hero ;
This pronouncement has been made to the family by Minister of State Security ,Cde Lovemore Matuke . His Excellency ,the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Munangagwa has conferred national hero status to Brig Gen Rungani. Mourners are gathered at No 9 Bally Vaughan Farm in Goromonzi. Burial will take place at the National heroes acre on a date to be announced .

"Nyanga celebrates Independence in Style"

We witnessed pure magnificence as Nyanga District came alive to celebrate our 45th Independence Day in STYLE!

Honored by the presence of Mr. Lloyd Kasima as Guest of Honour, the festivities were a testament to the unwavering spirit of our nation!

Dignitaries in attendance included:

- Cde Chido Sanyatwe, Member of Parliament for Nyanga North
- Hon Supa Collins Mandiwanzira ably represented by Members from his Office,Member of Parliament for Nyanga South
- JOC members & Service Chiefs
- Mayor of Nyanga, Adv Fungai Chimwamurombe
- Government departmental Heads
- Headmen Sanyamaropa, representing traditional leadership

The atmosphere was ELECTRIC, as our people celebrated 45 years of independence with unbridled joy and patriotism!
