Dark Cloud Hovers Redcliff as Mayor Dies.

Sombre mood has engulfed Redcliff community amidst the shocking  death of Redcliff Mayor Clayton Masiyatsva. 
Masiyatsva passed on at Topomus private hospital in Kwekwe  this afternoon after a very short illnes. 
The CCC elected politician and community leader has been discribed by fellow party cadres as hardworking, down to earth and patriotic man who stood and fought for better  community and Zimbabwe at large. 
Officially conveying the message on X, CCC spokesperson Prosper Mkwananzi be moaned the passing on of Masiyatsva as unmatched sad reality. 
"Saddened to announce the passing of Redcliff Mayor and long serving champion of the party Cllr Clayton Masiyatsva. May  your soul rest in peace Cde". Said Mkwananzi 
Speaking to this publication, Ward 1 councillor Willard Makonese described  the development as a devastating affair he is yet to come to terms with. 
"It is sad you know. As a community we have lost a great man, a father figure and a development activist who has been working so hard to tackle our problems head on.We were yet to learn from him as an Elderman. 
Few days ago I was with him on a council program . May his family be comforted and may his soul rest in peace". Said emotional Makonese 
Redcliff resident, Academic and Social justice Activist Rueben Mbofana expressed disbelief, highlighted the death as a great loss to Redcliff community. 
"It is  with profound shock that I learned of the death of our mayor (Redcliff town), Cllr Clayton Masiyatsva, who passed away today. 
This is truly heart-rending, and I would like to pass my deepest condolences to the Masiyatsva family, friends, and the Redcliff community. 
We may have clashed heads here and there in issues pertaining to service delivery, but in the end, he was always a gentleman, and we managed to maintain a relationship based on mutual respect. MHSRIP".Said  Mbofana
Messages of condolences continue to flock in nationwide, from abroad to the Masiyatsva family, CCC party and Redcliff community as a whole.
