Owning a house in a major town is a dream shared by many, symbolising not just shelter but stability and community belonging.
Eastwind Trust has emerged as a crucial player in turning this dream into reality for a multitude of homeseekers who have now become proud property owners through small, manageable contributions.
This comes after Harare City Housing director, Mr Addmore Nhekairo last week confirmed that Eastwind Trust, owned by Rodgers Pote and Trymore Arinesh*to, is now on track for regularisation.
Through innovative housing programs and flexible financing options, Eastwind Trust has effectively opened the doors of homeownership for families across various economic backgrounds.
“I never thought owning a home was possible for me,” Nathan Chadambura , a newly transitioned homeowner. “Eastwind Trust made it happen."
The company’s commitment to responsible land development has resonated deeply within the community.
Residents are increasingly vocal about their appreciation, with many highlighting the benefits brought by Eastwind Trust.
“They have given us more than just a house; they have given us a community,” says Previous Ngarande a proud homeowner said.
“I feel secure knowing my kids can grow up here.”
In addition to providing homes, Eastwind Trust emphasises community integration.
“We ensure that our developments include essential amenities such as schools, parks, and healthcare facilities,”
“We want to create neighborhoods where families can thrive, not just survive.” This holistic approach has significantly improved the quality of life for new homeowners and long-term residents alike," Rodgers Pote one of the Eastwind directors said
Local support for Eastwind Trust’s initiatives continues to grow, with many residents expressing hope for future developments.
“I dream of a day when every family in our community can have a home like mine,” says Clever Masamba who moved into his home last year.
“With Eastwind Trust leading the charge, I believe that day is coming.”
As Eastwind Trust progresses, the success stories of homeseekers turned homeowners stand as a testament to its impactful role in the community.
By fostering collaboration, promoting sustainability, and prioritising social responsibility, Eastwind Trust is not merely transforming landscapes but enriching lives.
As more residents celebrate their journeys towards homeownership, the company's dedication to building dreams continues to inspire hope for many.
The company holds a significant piece of land in Mabvuku-Donnybrooke.
During a hearing before Harare magistrate Mr. Tapiwa Banda last week, Mr. Nhekairo revealed that there are currently 40 companies awaiting regularisation in the whole of Harare.
Notably, he stated that Jason Passadi, the former Zanu PF MP for Mt. Pleasant, is not on the list of regularisation list.
This development follows Eastwind Trust’s recent complaint against The Herald for publishing what they deem inaccurate information regarding their regularisation status.
The Trust’s representatives argue that the media’s portrayal of their situation has caused undue harm to their reputation and operations.
In an official statement recently, Eastwind Trust said: “An article published by a local newspaper titled ‘Suspected land barons threatening state witnesses, court told,’ contains gross inaccuracies and misrepresentations about us as Eastwind Trust.”
The company emphasized that as a “responsible and reputable organization,” it felt compelled to correct what it termed a “false narrative.”
