WhatsApp is at it again with a new AI feature. This time, it's called "Writing Help," promising to refine the tone of your messages

But in a Zim that's mastered the art of the voice note and straight-to-the-point chat, is this something we actually need?

Meta’s been on an AI tear lately, stuffing its bots and features into every corner of the internet it owns. Now, WhatsApp is getting that same treatment

Zimbabwe’s diaspora sent US$1.9B home in the first 9 months of 2024, now the second-largest source of foreign currency after exports.

RemitHope believes some of that money can do more than just cover household bills. Its goal:

US$50M for 1,000 African-led projects

Using fintech + matching funds to stretch every dollar

See how they’re trying to make it happen

While diaspora remittances have provided crucial stability for families back home, a fintech-powered social enterprise believes they can be used for more

Hold onto your wallets. Samsung is about to drop a new XR headset, and according to a new report, it’s not going to be cheap

We're talking a serious price, though not as high as the Vision Pro. Would you rather buy this or a decent second-hand car?

So, about this Samsung XR headset, it seems like the guys from Samsung are about to drop a new gadget, and you will love its price tag. According to a

The Great 3310 doing its thing

Do you remember this guy? It was from a few years ago. This hasn’t stopped sounding crazy to me.

We really need to sit Nokia execs from that period down and really dig into where they got the tech to use in that phone. It has to be alien tech. That phone was not from this earth.

The DStv price creep continues

It looks like MultiChoice has decided to shake things up again, just in time for September. You know, so that the heat outside matches the heat in your wallet. Well, DStv is doing its part to make that a little harder.

From the 1st of September 2025, if you're one of those people who use the HD PVR Access/XtraView service to keep the peace at home, you know, one TV for the kids and another for you, you'll be paying a little extra. The monthly fee for that handy dual-view feature is going up from US$13.00 to US$14.00. I hyped it up and you were scared for a second, but it's just a dollar increase.

It's not a massive hike, just a dollar, but every little bit counts, especially with how things are. So, it's actually not a small hike.

If you've got questions about this, or you just want to vent, your best bet is to give the MultiChoice call centre a ring on +263 (242) 32600. Or, if you're the quiet type, you can always go check out their website at [www.dstvafrica.com] for the full details.

This all comes after bouquet price increases in June where Compact Plus, Family, and Access subscribers all saw a US$1 increment, bringing the new monthly fees to US$46, US$21, and US$16, respectively. Compact saw the steepest price increase, going from $30 to $32.
