Meet Her Worship, The Junior Mayor of Victoria Falls – Keisha Rozendo

Say hello to Keisha Rozendo, a determined and impact-driven 17-year-old student from Hudini School of Science and Technology, recently appointed as Junior Mayor of Victoria Falls.

My Name is Keisha Rozendo, a resilient and goal driven 17 year old student currently pursuing my A levels in the Arts stream at Hudini School of Science and Technology. My Inspiration for Arts , in particular History is reflected from my Father's wisdom " We learn from history so as not to learn from history ".This year at Hudini has been my most successful as I was recognised as the overall best student in all my subjects, scooping all the prizes. Despite the challenges along the way , I know the Lord never fails to raise me higher with every step I take. I am a devoted Christian and serve as the Scripture Union leader at my school. My leadership has also been recognised through my appointment as the Deputy Head Girl of Hudini School of Science and Technology. My greatest honour is my recent appointment as the Junior Mayor of Victoria Falls. It is a profound privilege to carry not only the pride of my school but also to actively contribute to the future of Victoria Falls as a city . I thrive on being an impact leader.

And guiding others towards positive change. I am grateful for everyone who has noticed my potential and encouraged me to work harder. I truly believe I embody the definition of beauty with brains channeled with direction.

Victoria Falls is in for a musical treat this December as legendary South African artist Freddie Gwala is set to perform live at Sizinda Ko Thwasa Lodumo on 24 December 2025.

Known for his timeless hits and soulful stage presence, Gwala will be supported by an exciting lineup that includes Platform 1, Malackcean, Boomkid, and Ayoba Vibration, promising a night filled with classic vibes, dance, and celebration.

The event also coincides with a Netball Tournament Day, adding a thrilling community sports atmosphere before the evening entertainment kicks off.

The head coach of Nakaluba Warriors recently completed the CAF D Coaching Course, held at Milton High School in Bulawayo.

The course featured top-level instruction alongside Zimbabwe national legends like Energy Murambadoro, Canaan Nkomo, Terry, and others, a true learning ground for the game’s future leaders.

We applaud the coach’s dedication to growth and excellence. This is a big step forward for both the coach and the Nakaluba Warriors team!

SAD NEWS: Sungura Legend Nicolas Zakaria Passes On

Zimbabwe has lost a music icon. Nicolas Zakaria, affectionately known as “Senior Lecturer”, has passed on.

Zakaria was one of the pioneers of sungura music in Zimbabwe, and the founder of the Khiama Boys, a group that nurtured legends like Alick Macheso and System Tazvida. His calm style, mentorship spirit, and powerful lyrics earned him deep respect across generations.

He leaves behind a legacy of discipline, musical excellence, and cultural pride.

Rest in peace, Baba Zakaria.

In the heart of Victoria Falls, a name continues to stand out across events, schools, community programs, and industry platforms, Dr. Clement Mukwasi. This year alone, he has been invited as Guest of Honour or Master of Ceremony at more events than any other figure in the city. From educational ceremonies to board orientations, Dr. Mukwasi’s presence has become synonymous with leadership, excellence, and inspiration.

He serves as the Public Relations Manager at Shearwater Adventures, one of Zimbabwe’s premier tourism companies, and is also the President of the Employers Association for Tours and Safari Operators. These roles already place him at the forefront of the region’s tourism industry, but his reach and relevance go far beyond.
