The countdown to our inaugural Zircon Live gig on Saturday 27th September, in Leicester UK continues... Here is your next introduction - in no particular order! - to the DJs on the lineup.
This time around we say hello to Devious Pink!
Hailing from Scotland, Devious Pink dedicates her days to building an impressive music library. A music aficionado from a young age, she would devour and collect anything from the early days of jazz and funk, motown , Italo-disco and electronica, all the way to today’s house and techno. With a predilection toward rhythmic energies, her sets are focused upon tech house and techno, with a dash of drum and bass whenever the opportunity presents itself..!
Working in an environment surrounded by radioheads, having both performed on and managed various radio stations, she is now a proud member of the Zircon Radio crew. This has provided her with the versatile opportunity of playing various vibes to diverse audiences around the world. Since the name “Radiohead “ was already taken (ahem!), the low profile path she has chosen allows music and ultimately current episodes of her Foundations show to speak for themselves.
Artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, and the Chicago mastermind that is Gene Farris, are but a few of Devious Pink’s current influences. Scotland’s penchant for harder sounds and Devious Pink’s somewhat unusual taste for the local market have still allowed space for her to play the local club and festival circuit, however, she is the ultimate radiohead!
