INNOCENT INVADER - the second album of Viennese jazz violinist and composer Rudi Berger, released in 1999 - is now availbale on vinyl for the first time ever. In his youth, Rudi Berger made waves as a soloist in the „Wiener Art Orchester,“ pioneering a new style of playing and tone on an instrument not commonly associated with jazz. Since then he presented his music in jazz clubs, concert halls, and festivals in 29 countries worldwide, has lived in New York and Brazil, contributed to over 200 recordings, including award-winning soundtracks for animation, ¬ film, and theater and was named an honorary member of the Chet Baker Foundation. Today he is recognized as one of the most original and in influential voices in jazz.

JAZZ STANDARDS LIVE is an album where two musicians - Kenny Wheeler, a trumpeter and composer profcient in various jazz styles, and saxophonist Rain Sultanov, known for his distinctive sound and style -present a virtuoso performance. It presents the frst physical release of this unique performance ever! The combination of two primary instruments, the tenor saxophone and trumpet, in a quintet creates a warm timbre and a unique sound reminiscent of the late 1970s and early 1980s in Herbie Hancock‘s V.S.O.P. quintet with Freddie Hubbard and Wayne Shorter. The album includes both well-known jazz standards and original compositions by Kenny Wheeler. Noteworthy is the extraordinary performance by pianist Shahin Novrasli, which gives the project a special mood, as well as the dynamic playing of drummer Paul Clarvis and bassist Ruslan Guseynov.

Meet one of Second Records new diamants: Melina paxinos - Time. The greek composer and saxophonist dedicates her album TIME to the now state of time - the most precious thing we have. Therefore modern Jazz meets Mediterranean flair, creating a small journey through time with the help of her expressive melodies. Playing together since 2018 the Melina Paxinos Quartet invited recognized jazz musician Andreas Polyzogopoulos, who with his lyrical playing, accompanies them on trumpet and Flugelhorn. The last song „Ta Matoklada sou Lampoun“ is a composition by one of the most famous Greek rebetiko musicians Markos Vamvakaris (1905-1972), which Melina rearranged. Thus bringing the past, that is the cultural heritage, into the present.
