Aussie Music Weekly

Aussie Music Weekly Aussie Music Weekly is a 1 hour radio show broadcast three times per week across Australia on the Co But it’s not just the music!

Aussie Music Weekly is a one hour radio show (presented by Noddy), broadcast twice a week around Australia on over 55 radio stations via the Community Radio Network satellite service. Aussie Music Weekly focuses on new local and independent Australian music, giving much needed exposure to artists who do not gain airplay through mainstream media. From rock to pop, blues to folk, hip hop to funk, so

long as it’s Australian, there’s a good chance you’ll hear it on Aussie Music Weekly. We also bring you “In Focus” interviews with Australian artists, as well as tour and concert information, to keep you informed as to what’s happening in the Australian music industry. We’re also keen to explore the origins of Australian music and each week bring our listeners the “Baktrak” segment where we play a classic Aussie track from the past. In addition, our monthly “Artist Profile” segment (presented by Rufus OnFire) takes a deeper look at Australian acts, both past and present. Plus with a regular “Live Session” where artists come into the studio to perform (engineered by Paul McQueen) and talk about their work, there is plenty on offer each week on Aussie Music Weekly! We invite you to join us each week on your local community radio station.

Well, another year has just flown by here on Aussie Music Weekly!

We really appreciate you taking the time to listen to our humble little radio program during 2025

A huge thanks to the countless Australian musicians (and the many publicists who represent them) who sent their fine music our way. It was our pleasure to have broadcast so many of them (just under 500 to be precise!) and spread the love of local, independent music.

To the many musicians who took time to chat with us through our In Focus interview segments, it is most appreciated, we love sharing your stories.

A massive shout out to the over 60 community radio stations right across the country who took the program each week during the year, we can't do this without your support.

Also the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia and their Community Radio Network service that flawlessly gets the program out across the nation, as well as our home station 2RRR 88.5FM in Sydney.

The Aussie Music Weekly team of Noddy, Rufus OnFire and Chuck Nuggetts are taking a break across the month of January and will be back to regular programming in the first week of February 2026.
