Azza (Aaron) is an open format DJ based in Perth, Western Australia. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, you have definitely seen him around, as he holds a number of residency’s along with regular sets at venues such as Bennys Yard, Stories, Reveley and more.

Azza has spent the last 8 years spinning the wheels of steel at almost every type of event, extending into festivals like Ice Cream Factory, Seasons, Festival X and Leavers WA. He also travels regionally for sets and in 2025 internationally for a residency in IOS, Greece.

A 21-year-old bodybuilder and exercise physiology student might seem like an unlikely crossover into the DJ world, but a lifelong habit of saying yes to everything made it almost inevitable.
My journey into DJing began during competition prep, when going out sober gave me a completely different perspective on nightlife. It made me realise that the dance floor is about more than drinking—it is a place where people connect, let go, and come together through a shared love of music.
My goal in every set is simple: energy. I want people to dance, jump, scream, lose themselves in the moment, and connect with friends and strangers on a deeper level. For me, DJing is about bringing people back to the dance floor and reminding them of the community and universal bond that music can create.

Infrared Streams is a monthly livestream and recording series created by the Infra-Red Network to support, document and grow Perth’s local DJ community.
The goal is bigger than simply filming DJ sets. We want to give local artists a platform to be seen, heard and remembered, while building a living record of what Perth’s music culture sounds and feels like right now.
Each session brings together DJs from different scenes, styles and backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to play their sound, connect with new audiences and contribute to a wider picture of Western Australia’s nightlife and underground music community.

For Episode 11, we are joining forces with the YS contestants and giving them an opportunity to play in store at DJ City Malaga or at an after party, showcasing a new wave of local talent and the energy they are bringing into the scene.
Every set will be recorded and uploaded to the Infra-Red Network YouTube channel, helping these artists reach beyond the room and giving people everywhere a chance to experience the diversity, creativity and personality of Perth’s DJ culture.
This is about supporting local artists, creating opportunities and showing the world what is happening in our own backyard.
