Emelia Reddick, one of the IPL volunteers is doing a Homeless sleepout with her school to raise money for Youth homelessness. If you have any spare change, please donate using the link below. Emelia says

"On Friday 14th August, I'm sleeping out at the WACA Ground with hundreds of other young people from across WA to experience for just one night what it is like for the 9,000 Western Australians who are homeless on any given night.

All donations will go directly to Anglicare WA's Street Connect youth homelessness service which helps young people on the streets of Perth to get their lives back on track. They rely entirely on donations from the public to survive so please know that your donation will make a big difference to the lives of the young people they support. Thank you!"

Partner With IPL Radio – The Voice of the Community

Do you love your community?

Do you believe in supporting local people, local stories and local initiatives?

Do you want to help us help the community?

At IPL Radio, we believe every voice matters.

As a community-driven organisation, our mission is to inform, inspire, educate and connect people across our region through meaningful conversations, local stories, community engagement and grassroots support.

While many people know us as a radio station, we are so much more than radio.

Through IPL Radio, Inspire Newspaper and our community outreach initiatives, we work tirelessly to connect people, celebrate local achievements, support community causes and create opportunities for education and growth.

We also provide Mental Health First Aid training for individuals, businesses, organisations and community groups, helping to build stronger, more resilient communities through education and awareness.

Every week, our dedicated team of volunteers delivers live broadcasts, community events, interviews, local news, mental health awareness and training opportunities, community initiatives and conversations that make a genuine difference. We proudly support local charities, community groups, businesses and individuals while providing a platform for voices that may otherwise go unheard.

And we’re only just getting started.

With exciting new projects, partnerships and community initiatives currently in development, there are some big things happening at IPL and Inspire in the near future, and we are looking for community-minded people and organisations to join us on the journey.

To continue growing our impact, we are seeking:

• Sponsors and Partners
• Community Collaborators
• Radio Presenters and Producers
• Event and Media Volunteers
• Writers, Reporters and Content Creators
• Outside Broadcast and Event Support Volunteers
• Marketing, Administration and Behind-the-Scenes Team Members

Whether you can spare a few hours a week or are looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, we’d love to hear from you.

By partnering or volunteering with IPL Radio and Inspire, you will:

• Support a volunteer-run organisation making a real difference.
• Help strengthen the voice of the community.
• Connect with like-minded people who are passionate about creating positive change.
• Gain valuable experience in media, broadcasting, events and community engagement.
• Support community education, Mental Health First Aid training and local advocacy.
• Be part of a growing organisation dedicated to inspiring passionate lives.

Together, we can continue building a stronger, more connected and more informed community.

If you love your community and would like to help us continue this important work, whether as a volunteer, sponsor, partner or supporter, we would love to hear from you.

Reach out to the IPL Radio and Inspire team today and become part of something bigger.

Helping our community, one conversation, one story and one connection at a time.

Community, Connection and Service – Baldivis Lions on Nix Nuggets

This morning on Nix Nuggets on IPL Radio, Nick and Jen Jen had the pleasure of chatting with Debbie and Grahame from the Baldivis Lions about the incredible work Lions do within our local community and beyond.

The conversation explored the history of the Baldivis Lions Club, how the club was formed, the projects they have proudly delivered over the years, their current community initiatives, and their exciting plans for the future. Debbie and Grahame also spoke about the importance of recruiting new members and some of the challenges faced by volunteer organisations in today’s world.

One of the highlights of the discussion was learning that the famous Bunnings sausage sizzles are about so much more than fundraising. The proceeds help Lions continue their vital work supporting individuals, families, community groups and local causes that need a helping hand.

We also discussed the wider Lions organisation, from local clubs right through to district, national and international levels, including the impact of the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and the Australian Lions Foundation (ALF).

Most importantly, the interview highlighted the power of community partnerships and the incredible difference volunteers can make when people come together with a shared purpose of helping others.

A huge thank you to Debbie and Grahame for joining us and sharing their passion for service, community and making a positive difference in the lives of others. It was an insightful conversation that showcased the heart behind Lions and the impact they continue to have throughout Baldivis and the wider community.

If you’ve ever considered volunteering, supporting your community, or becoming involved with the Baldivis Lions Club, they’d love to hear from you.
