A decade after it first arrived, I Wanna Go Bang is back in circulation — not as a nostalgia, but a reminder that some records do not age; they just wait for the room to catch up.
Released in 2015, the track put a new kind of bang into the techno air: blunt, physical, cheeky, a little deranged, and built for bodies rather than algorithms. It travelled far, got played loud, and somehow kept finding new corners of the night to live in.
Now, ten years later, the record is handed over again — not cleaned up or made polite, but pulled apart, reassembled and sent back into the world through a new set of remixes by Bjarki’s curation. Each version takes the original impulse somewhere else: deeper into the machine, further into the club, sideways into the strange little gap between humour, sweat and danger.
Because a bang is not only a banger. It is an interruption. A door opening. A bad idea becoming a very good night.
