Hi everyone...I've been personally quiet for a bit - still recovering in some ways and catching up on some personal matters...but I wanted to take the time today to encourage everyone to follow my kayaking hero on his next adventure starting in just a couple of days.

John K***z, of Washington State, is undertaking a stunning challenge - please follow and support him - I ask that as John was very kind and supportive to me as just a fellow paddler, who reached out to him out of the blue, from across the Canadian border, to ask questions.

John has done some great work in his home area to teach school kids about the joys of paddling and adventure - important work in this digital age where it's all too easy to get caught up with what's on the screens on the wall or on our lap or in our hand, and miss the pleasures and rewards that come with exploring and enjoying the outdoors.
