The Camera Lady's 1932 Roadster is nearing completion, with the engine now operational. We are proceeding with the shakedown phase, having successfully grounded the signal lights, thereby ensuring all lights are functioning properly. Next, we will focus on completing the interior.

Elle's 32 Coupe: Windshield frame chopped and fitted. The floor is completed with the fabrication of the transmission tunnel cover.

This week at Coldstream Rod Shop Derek picks up and installs the headers for The Camera Lady's Roadster. It's officially running. Time to do some trouble shooting on a couple of issues with the lights and tack. More work on Elle's 32 Coupe is completed with Derek fabricating the transmission tunnel cover, reinforcing the dash and installing it, and the windshield frame is chopped and fitted. One more ask on Elle's coupe was to fit a bench seat, so with new sliders ordered, hopefully that will be next week.

Elle's 1932 5 Window Coupe welded firewall was carefully designed to allow for easy removal without compromising the original component's integrity. A mini grinder can be utilized to facilitate disassembly if needed. This step adds rigidity to the body and deletes the cowl shake that is often felt in these early Fords.

Thanks again to Jesse who showed up to paint the 1935 pickup box in our homemade paint booth moving this project along to the next step.

Last Saturday (May 16, 2026) was a pretty interesting day here at Coldstream Rod Shop. We welcomed the crew from Maritime Machines to film Derek and the "Hot Rod" aka our 1929 Model A, for an upcoming episode to air this fall on Eastlink. What a great experience to have had this opportunity and look forward to sharing the airdate with you later this year.

This week at Coldstream Rod Shop, Derek works on the 1935 shortened pickup box. It's primed and painted (thanks Jesse) and now ready for the wood to be installed. Elle's 32 coupe gets a few floor pieces fabricated and the firewall is welded in place, then it's round one for the bottom seat for the Camera Lady's Roadster.
