We put a considerable amount of work into the fabrics in Studio A. After 15 years of working as cinematographers and now 4 years also as studio owners it’s safe to say we are *a bit* obsessed when it comes to qualities of light. The two options, to diffuse or blackout, available on any window in Studio A gives so much creative freedom, and brings me personally so much joy to be able to shape the way the sun interacts with the space. I really encourage any artists coming in to start by playing around with these textiles, both off camera and on camera. It’s one of my favourite things to do in the studio, watching the space change as I draw these huge curtains, watching how the light pools at a specific time of day, watching it all and soaking it all up, and then I guess eventually asking some nice person to hop in and interact with it and then make some magic together.
