I got diagnosed with PCOS at 21 while living alone in Australia, and even though it was scary, i also remember feeling relieved to finally understand why i had been struggling with certain things for so long. What people don’t always talk about is how much PCOS can occupy your mind on a daily basis. For me, hair growth became a real source of hypervigilance. It wasn’t about perfection or beauty standards, it was more about the mental exhaustion of constantly thinking about it.

Laser hair removal genuinely made my life easier in that sense. It gave me confidence, and one less thing to carry mentally every day.
