From his work with Mandar to his standout solo career, Malin Genie has released on respected platforms such as SlapFunk and Up The Stuss, including the acclaimed Phaethon EP. His cutting-edge, dub-inflected techno collaborations with Yaleesa Hall on Will & Ink have further defined his innovative approach.

Beyond these projects, he runs EMPAM, Malin Genie Music, and Vigenere, each showcasing his forward-thinking, genre-blurring productions. He also co-owns Oscillat Music and De Vloer alongside Per Hammar — reinforcing his influence in the contemporary electronic music landscape.

Based in Cluj-Napoca, RQZ has become a distinct voice in the underground: his sound blends jazz-inflected atmospherics, ambient textures and human-behaviour-oriented rhythms, rooted in the lower end of the minimal house spectrum.
