Most unexpected sample of the day : the new Skillibeng and Vybzkartel collab "New gears" is using a sample from... the great late French icon Françoise Hardy's classic song "Mon amie la rose", originally released in 1964 ! Not the first international artists are recycling Françoise Hard'ys music, check my full playlist of her samples that was created for What the France in the comments.

Listen to the veteran UK singer G Vibes singing a dubplate version of his song "A little more time" for Heartical Sound, using a cut of the "Money money" riddim. The original track was released as a 7" single on the label River Bank Records. Recorded and mixed in 1999 at G Vibes Studio (London / UK). The original track is called "The Power", it was featured on the album "Heartical & BDF present : Dub Fire Showcase". Vocals recorded at Top Secret studio (London / UK), mixed by Douglas Wardrop at Conscious Sounds studio (London / UK).
