We are appealing to witnesses to an incident which is reported to have taken place near to the entrance to Clitheroe castle park near to the railway crossing.

The incident has reportedly taken place on the 17th of June 2026 between 19:15 hours and 19:30 hours.

I would like to speak to an unknown person who is described as being approximately five foot eight inches tall, in her fifties, walking two dogs, one small and one larger described as being a brown dog, which is slightly smaller than a German Shepherd.

If anybody has an idea of who this might be, please let me know :)

Kind regards

Pendle Witch in Sabden is this week's Featured Business.
Locals say it's haunted. We're not saying it is...
But we're not saying it isn't either 🧙‍♀️
Would you have a pint here?

This place is dangerous… if you go in hungry!
Georgonzola Deli on King Street, Clitheroe, is basically the adult version of a sweet shop.
Cheese, wine, beer, olives… and somehow you always leave with more than you planned.
What’s your go-to deli purchase?

Hidden in the heart of Lancashire, Whalley Abbey is one of those places that instantly slows everything down. Centuries of history, beautiful stonework, and peaceful surroundings.
Lancashire really does have some unreal places. 👀

We were delighted to welcome King Charles III to
Clitheroe. 9th Feb 2026. Crowds showed up in huge numbers, the streets full, great atmosphere, brass band playing, anticipation building.
Despite a heckler, who was immediately drowned out by the crowd shouting "God Save the King!".
Moments like this don’t come around often. What an amazing day for the town.
