Hidden in the heart of Lancashire, Whalley Abbey is one of those places that instantly slows everything down. Centuries of history, beautiful stonework, and peaceful surroundings.

We were delighted to welcome King Charles III to
Clitheroe. 9th Feb 2026. Crowds showed up in huge numbers, the streets full, great atmosphere, brass band playing, anticipation building.
Despite a heckler, who was immediately drowned out by the crowd shouting "God Save the King!".
Moments like this don’t come around often. What an amazing day for the town.
