Romans 14:19 encourages us to be people who bring peace rather than division. It is easy to focus on disagreements or insist that our own way is right, but God calls us to consider how our words and actions affect others. Pursuing peace does not mean ignoring truth or avoiding every difficult conversation. It means responding with patience, kindness and humility, seeking understanding instead of conflict. We should also look for ways to strengthen one another in faith, offering encouragement rather than criticism. Today, we can ask ourselves whether our choices are building people up or pulling them down. Even a thoughtful word, a willingness to listen or a simple act of kindness can help create peace and bring people closer together.

Hebrews 12:28 reminds us to be grateful that God has welcomed us into a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Everything around us can change—our circumstances, relationships, plans and even our sense of security—but God remains completely dependable. Our response should be more than simply saying thank you. Gratitude should shape the way we live, leading us to worship God with humility, respect and wholehearted devotion. When we recognise what we have received through Christ, serving God becomes a privilege rather than a burden. In an uncertain world, we can stand firm because our hope is built on something eternal. Whatever happens today, God is still faithful, His promises remain secure, and His kingdom will never fail.

Matthew 5:44 teaches one of the most challenging parts of following Jesus: choosing love even when someone has hurt us or treated us unfairly. It’s natural to respond with anger, resentment or a desire to get even, but Jesus calls us to a different way. Loving our enemies doesn’t mean pretending that what they have done is acceptable, nor does it mean we shouldn’t have healthy boundaries. Instead, it means refusing to allow bitterness to control our hearts. Praying for those who have wronged us can gradually change the way we see them and help us release the hurt we are carrying. This kind of love isn’t always easy, but it reflects the character of God. When we respond with grace rather than retaliation, we demonstrate that our faith influences not only how we treat those we love, but also how we respond to those who make life difficult.

We all make plans for our lives, hoping things will work out in a particular way. Yet circumstances can change unexpectedly, reminding us that we are not always in control. This does not mean planning is wrong, but it does mean holding our plans with an open hand and trusting God with the outcome. His understanding reaches far beyond what we can see today. Sometimes a closed door, unexpected delay or change of direction may eventually lead somewhere we never imagined. When our plans change, we can ask God for wisdom and remain open to His guidance. His purposes are greater than our limited perspective, and we can trust Him to lead us one step at a time.
