We had a lovely time at Lions on the Green on Sunday, it was really nice to chat with visitors. The Doors Game, made for us by Devizes Men's Shed, was a great success. Thanks to the Lions for organising such a fun event and for ensuring that the sun shone!

With the conclusion of National Volunteer’s Week last week, a message from our Chair, Jonathan Hunter to all our volunteers.

Dear Team,

I would like to take the opportunity, on behalf of Trustees and our staff team, to thank all of our volunteers for the time, commitment and support you give to Devizes Opendoors.

Every contribution helps us provide generous support, a listening ear and practical assistance to all of our guests who access our services.

Your willingness to give your time for the benefit of others is greatly appreciated and makes a genuine big difference.

We are very grateful for everything you do and for the positive and welcoming environment you all help create for those who come to Devizes Opendoors.

We at Devizes Opendoors had a great time at the Volunteer Fair today, 10 - 2 in The Corn Exchange. lots of interest from the public. Massive thanks to the staff and volunteers who attended (Angie, Emma, Irene and Harriet) 😊. Thanks to Devizes Town Council for organising the event.

Today marks the beginning of National Volunteer Week, so a big shout out and thank you to all our volunteers, past and present - we couldn’t do what we do without you.

If you’d like to get involved with helping those in your community who are homeless or in housing need - then come and meet some of our volunteer team at the Corn Exchange between 10am-2pm on Saturday 6th June!

As the warmer weather is with us - we really need Sun cream and water for our guests in addition to our regular needs.

We are also in need of men and women’s toiletries:

Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste

We also still really need tins of food too - meat, beans, fish, potatoes, veg, fruit and custard!

There are donation bins in Morrisons and Lidl Devizes or can be dropped at our centre between our opening hours;

Wednesday 9-12
Thursday 11-2

Clothing wise, shorts and t-shirts are appreciated.

Would like to say the biggest thank you to The White Bear who had a fantastic Raffle and raised an astounding £350 for our guests.
The kindness and generosity is amazing.
