Rachmaninov: Vespers

Vivaldi: Gloria

It is hard to imagine a greater contrast between the first and second halves of this programme. Rachmaninov's Vespers, the first part of his All Night Vigil written for services in Russian Orthodox churches, are solemn and spiritual, whereas Vivaldi's ever-popular Gloria is wonderfully effervescent, exciting, music.

Choir members are looking forward to dusting off their Russian and polishing up their Latin to perform this exciting programme of spectacular music! With Soprano: Dani May, Mezzo Soprano: Charlotte Tetley, Organ: Philip Scriven and Conductor: Richard Pearce
