I thought I'd just do an update on the rattery.

We're currently in the process of moving house and we're relocating. Its an exciting yet nervous and stressful time. We will be moving to Derbyshire so kitten collections will be from there moving forward.

Our current rats that will hopefully be bred from are 5 months old and I don't currently have any solid plans on when I'll be able to do my next gens unfortunately. We have a lot of stuff to sort behind the scenes first before we can think of litters. I do know that my Chin line will be the next pairing though so every cloud.

For these reasons I may not have chance to message people back in regards to kittens❤️

I'm always available for current pet homes of Bourne Rats to help with anything 💓

Let's chat about food. For me personally with the rattery I find its more economical for me to bulk buy the rats food and make it myself. This is where I follow the Scumaite diet. I currently use the proportions of:

- Base mix = 55% (Large Pea Rabbit, Goat conditioning mix and Horse conditioning cubes)

- Processed Grains = 20% (Puffed Rice, Pearl Barley, Bran Flakes and Wholegrain Fuseli)

- Protein = 10% (Harringtons Salmon dog food)

- Dried herbs, veg and fruit = 10% (Beetroot, Parsnip, Garlic, Mint, Basil, Carrot, Banana Chips, Apple cubes)

- Seeds = 5% (Wild Bird seed)

I tend to bulk buy most of what I need from my local equestrian feed shops but I do also use Amazon and RatRations for the bits I can't access as easy as well as their supplements.
