Scotland Rocks Radio in association with Wildfire Festival 2026 are looking for bands to apply for next years Live and Wilder sessions at The Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh. See below for full details.

LIVE AND WILDER 2026

Scotland Rocks Radio in association with Wildfire Festival 2026 will be hosting Live and Wilder at The Banshee Labyrinth.

The Live and Wilder sessions will take place on Friday 27th Feb, Saturday 21st March and Friday 24th April.

At each session three bands will battle it out to win a place at our Live and Wilder final. The final will be on Saturday 16th May at The Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh and the winner will go on to play at next year’s Wildfire Festival.

Bands from Scotland and northeast England are invited to apply.
Band members must be18+ when they play at the Live and Wilder sessions.

The closing date for applications is Friday 19th December 2025.

Here are answers to common questions about Live and Wilder.

Q. Can my band apply if they have already played at Wildfire and/ or Live and Wilder?
A. Yes

Q. Can my band apply if we have applied for Wildfire in the past and been unsuccessful in our application?
A. Yes

Q Is Live and Wilder only open to hard Rock and Metal bands?

A. No. Live and Wilder is open to bands that play across the full spectrum of Rock and Metal including Punk, Pop Punk, Grunge, Goth, Prog , Indie , Alternative and everything in between.

Q. Is this just another Battle of the Bands competition?
A. No. It is the full Scotland Rocks Radio set up at The Banshee. Each band's set will be multitrack recorded and followed by an interview. Later, Scotland Rocks Radio will stream a dedicated show for each band featuring live tracks and the interview.
The bands will receive a recording of their performance, which they may remix and choose to release as a live album, as some bands have done previously. The top band at each session will advance to our Live and Wilder final for a chance to play at next year's Wildfire Festival.
