INFORMATION ON CALL OF THE WILD TRAILBLAZER FINAL

Since day one Call Of The Wild Festival has been heavily invested in finding and promoting new bands of the future. At their very first event held in Lincoln at Rock Haven they had the fantastic Daniel Byrne & Empyre competing! From that first event Trailblazer has become a significant and important part of Call Of The Wild & Upstaged and has long served as a launchpad for grassroots bands driven by passion and dedication, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent to a wider audience. This initiative supports unsigned and self-released rock bands by providing a key platform to boost their exposure, grow their fan base, and build valuable connections within the music industry.

Very few festivals have initiatives like this, and the COTW team strongly believe that the headliners of tomorrow are out there today, waiting to be discovered and they are proud pioneers pushing forward. The important thing is YOU COULD BE PART OF IT FOR A FIVER!

From hundreds of applicants, the selection was narrowed down to 60 bands, and now after seven weeks of online voting, 14 finalists remain. These bands will take to the Corporation Main Stage to compete for the ultimate prize — the chance to open Call of the Wild Festival 2026.

The new Lixx album 'Dogs on the Slide' releases on Friday 21st November and we'll be showcasing it at our Scotland Rocks Radio Live and Louder gig at Edinburgh Banshee . . see you there! xx

More news and more bands announced for Wildfire Festival 2026. What a line up 😀👍🤘

If we had paid attention to the dates, we could have brought you a few “treats” on the 31st October. Or we could have set off some fireworks on the 5th but no, we sat tight to get things right and tonight we bring you 6 more artists, for Wildfire Festival at the Wanlockhead inn with our good freinds over at Scotland Rocks Radio.
So first off we head to the land down under and announce that the Melbourne based Glam Rock sensation, Sisters Doll will headline our event on Friday night. This will be an exclusive Scottish performance and one you do not want to miss.
Staying on the other side of our planet, we also have Sidney based Big Red Fire Truck as our special guests on Sunday evening. The Manly Beach based, Hard Rockers will definitely bring the party.
Speaking of parties we are delighted to announce that Scottish based (more Glam Rockers), Bad Actress make a very welcome and well deserved return to entertain you on Friday evening.
Back to Sunday evening and sticking with the returning acts theme – although its been a couple of years - North of England based Skies Turn Black will bring their unique blend of Electronic Power Metal with a definite nod to the NWOBHM, back to the main stage and you know we love a keytar.
Over to Saturday and yes, another act making a welcome return it is the Glasgow based Those Made Broken, They don't really define themselves but we see it as movie soundtrack style epic alternative metal and we could maybe even drop the prog word. Hope you don't mind?
Finally, we are super stoked to have secured the fantastic FangSlinger for Sunday. There Hard Rock/Gothic Americana will take you on a journey to the time of outlaws and outcasts.
All of the above will of course be joined by the previously announced headliners Thieves Of Liberty, special guests Midnite City, Pyroclast, Apriori, Hard Buds and many more. Tickets are available from the website and we urge you not to hang about.
