“He doesn't have the knockout power threat, right? But in saying that, because I'm so confident in my takedown defense, in my game, that his best bet is to knock me out. Because a lot of people are just going to try and wrestle (me). That's going to be thrown out the window after one or two rounds. He's going to be getting too tired to just want to keep trying to take me down.

“I believe he'd be better off just swinging and trying to catch me. I believe no one in my division can beat me by decision.”

“I’m still gonna be working with Din. I don’t know if he’s gonna be in my corner… If he wants to be in my corner, I will gladly have him.

Umar Nurmagomedov believes that if Petr Yan beats Merab at UFC 333 then Sean O'Malley will be next in line for a title shot.

He also says that if Merab wins, he will probably jump to the front of the line:

Michael Bisping is furious that Paddy Pimblett's UFC 329 purse has been withheld for jumping on top of the cage:

“This is utterly ridiculous. I hate this rule.”

"I did it at UFC 199 in California. A lot of fighters jump on top of the cage. You’ve just won in front of thousands of people and millions watching around the world. You’re allowed to celebrate.

“Boxers jump on the ropes all the time. But MMA fighters jump on the cage and suddenly they get fined or have their purses withheld.”

“It’s nonsense. It’s the athletic commissions trying to get a few bucks for themselves. This rule needs to be changed.”
