Sultan Tipu Shaheed (May Allah have mercy on him)

Tipu Sultan made great efforts to persuade the kings, princes, and nawabs of India to rise against the British. To achieve this goal, he corresponded with Sultan Salim Uthmani of Turkey, as well as other Muslim rulers and Indian nobles. He sent his envoys to France, Turkey, Iran, and other countries in an attempt to build international support. Even Napoleon offered him cooperation and assistance in his mission to end the expanding and dangerous British domination.

Throughout his life, Tipu Sultan remained in fierce battle against the British. It was nearly certain that all of the British plans would fail and that they would be completely expelled from India. However, the British managed to win over the rulers of South India to their side. In the end, this valiant king attained martyrdom and everlasting honor on 4th May 1799, during the Battle of Srirangapatna.

He chose death over a life of slavery under the British and refused to live at their mercy. His famous historical saying stands immortal:

“The life of a lion for one day is better than a hundred years of a jackal.”

When General Harris received the news of Sultan’s martyrdom, he stood over his body and said words that history itself has proven true:

“From today, India is ours.”

Owaisi Targets BJP, Questions Modi Over Inaction in Shoe Attack on CJI Gavai.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday sharply criticized the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a suspended lawyer allegedly tried to hurl a shoe at Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai inside the Supreme Court. Owaisi accused the government of double standards and questioned why no criminal case had been registered against the accused, Rakesh Kishore.

In a post on X, Owaisi wrote, “Why hasn’t any case been filed against the person who targeted India’s second Dalit Chief Justice?” Speaking at a public event, he further lashed out at the BJP and the Prime Minister, saying, “Our Dalit brothers are watching this. People must realize that the BJP is not your ally, and Modi is not on your side. Imagine if the man’s name wasn’t Rakesh Kishore but Asad—what would have happened then? He would’ve been arrested immediately, accused of ISI links, and branded anti-national. Modi ji, isn’t your government answerable for this?”

AICC Chairman Dr Mallikarjun Kharge Slams Attempted Attack on CJI Gavai, Calls It a ‘Blow to Democracy’; Seeks Stern Action from Centre

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday strongly condemned the attempted attack on Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai, calling it a “shameful insult” to the nation’s highest judicial authority and a serious blow to democratic principles.

Speaking to reporters, Kharge said he was deeply disturbed that such an incident had not sparked widespread outrage across the country. “It is disgraceful that someone claiming to be a lawyer tried to throw papers at the CJI while invoking religion. I condemn this act in the strongest terms, both personally and on behalf of the Congress Party,” he stated.

Urging the Central government to take strict action against the culprit, Kharge said that targeting the Chief Justice in the name of religion or ideology amounted to an attack on the very foundation of the Constitution. He also expressed disappointment over the subdued response from legal institutions, governments, political parties, and the public.

In addition, the AICC chief denounced the killing of a man from the Valmiki community in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli district, describing it as a “complete breakdown of law and order” under the State government.

CM SIDDARAMAIAH SAID: The educational, economic, and social survey of the state's people has begun from September 22. The survey was supposed to conclude today. It has not been completed in some districts.

Therefore, Legislative Council member Puttanna and the teachers' association have submitted a request for an additional 10 days' extension. In response to this request, we have declared a holiday for government and aided schools until October 18. The 8 working days' holiday has been extended.

Since the second PU midterm exams will be held from October 12, an exemption has been granted to PU lecturers from survey duties.

World-renowned Jamboo Savari that captivated hearts

Before the grand Jamboo Savari began, as per tradition, today at the Balarama Gate of the Mysuru Palace, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah offered puja to the sacred Nandidhwaja in the auspicious Dhanur Lagna. Later, in the Kumbha Lagna, floral offerings were made to Goddess Chamundeshwari’s festival idol, majestically seated on the 750 kg golden howdah (ambari).

In front of the Mysuru Palace, lakhs of people rejoiced witnessing the majestic moment as Dasara elephant Abhimanyu carried the 750 kg golden howdah.

Alongside the Jamboo Savari, over 50 tableaux paraded. Representations of Bidar Fort, Hampi Virupaksha Temple, statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Basavanna, among others, mesmerized the spectators and tourists.
