Urgent Help Needed for Ailing Elephant in Hatikhira TE

Since the Assam Forest Department’s October 18 update, the old elephant spotted in Patherkandi Reserve Forest is still in poor health. She is unable to find food on her own and is now relying completely on locals, damaging nearby rice farms. Gaonwalon ko darr hai ki agar woh apne control se bahar ho gayi, toh unhe nuksan ho sakta hai.

No medical team or wildlife experts have visited the site, and her condition is worsening. Ab turant action lene ki zarurat hai to ensure her well-being and protect the local community.

We urgently request DC Karimganj Forest Department, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India to send medical help to assess her condition and provide support.
