As a responsible corporate citizen, Lee Ming Press is concerned about how our business affects the environment. Hence, we use non-toxic and environmental friendly products like soya ink. In addition, our waste by-products are recycled and specially disposed off by Trieneken- a reputable waste management company.
DIGITISATION OF PRINTING PRODUCTION PROCESS
Since the late 2000, Lee Ming Press as undergone a rapid computerization of its operation. ERP system was introduced to further strengthen the management of sales for the sales and marketing department. Enabling them to easily retrieve information from the database and serving the customers more efficiently.
GRAPHIC DESIGN, COLOUR MANAGEMENT AND CTP (COMPUTER TO PLATE)
In terms of graphic design department, Lee Ming had upgrade its software from time to time in order to be compatible with our clients software. In addition, colour management software EFI, Eizo Monitor as well as EFI i10 colour calibration tools were introduced to ensure consistent colour reproduction.
Our colour separation consists of the Kodak Trendsetter, one of the top CTP in the printing industy. Kodak utilizes square dot technology that enables the images produced to be crisp and sharp. We are also making it standards to run on 2400 DPI on 200 LPI for all of our job thus ensuring that the job quality is fine and detailed.
PIONEERING THE EAST MALAYSIA PRINTING INDUSTRY- MACHINE ACQUISITION
Lee Ming Press has always been a pioneer in the acquisition of high tech printing machinery. Back in 1990’s, it was the first East Malaysian printing company to acquire a four-colour offset printing machine, followed by a five-colour printing machine. In 2017, we have acquired 2 brand new printing machinery with one of them being the largest size in East Malaysia (29” x 41”). Currently we are the only printing company that has four 8 up A4 size printing machine running up to maximum speed of 16,000 sheets per hour in Sarawak.
UV OFFSET LABEL PRINTING MACHINE
We also acquired the first UV offset label printing machine in Sarawak to cater for our demanding customers in the FMG sectors. The UV offset label printing machine produce high quality gradient and tone unable to print by conventional letterpress label machine. In addition, the UV ink on the label are more durable and resistant to scratch, sunlight and chemical reactions.
ONE OF THE LARGEST DIGITAL PRESS IN KUCHING
Due to demand from short run printing and urgent job, we also set up a digital press room with 4 production colour as well as black and white from Fuji Xerox and Canon. Both colour digital press is equipped with efi colour server which is used for colour management.
MOST COMPLETE POST PRESS IN SARAWAK
Lee Ming Press has the most complete post press in Sarawak. From UV Coating, SPOT UV coating, Matt and Gloss Lamination to computerized Horizon folding and gluing machine. In addition, we are also equipped with thread sewing machine, 4 Polar cutting machines as well as 2 Muller Martini high speed saddle stitching machine enabling all binding and varnishing to be completed in house ensuring privacy and secrecy of the products printed.
LARGE FORMAT PRINTING, ADVERTISING, CORPORATE GIFTS AND TROPHIES
Lee Ming Press also ventures to large format inkjet printing with the acquisition of 3 new 10 feet solvent printing machine, 2 high quality 64” eco-solvent printing machine as well as a A2 size UV flat bed printing machine. The UV printing machines are used to cater for our gifts and trophies market. It can print on metal, wood, acrylic, glass, ceramic etc.
EXERCISE BOOK PRINTING AND SCHOOL STATIONARIES
In order to serve our clients better, we are undergoing an aggressive expansion plan and putting more emphasis on innovation. For instance, we have also added a high quality, fully online Newest Technology Exercise Book Printing machine to our plant. The exercise book printing machine caters for all the schools in Sarawak. In addition, we also offers schools stationaries such as drawing blocks, graphs book, custom exercise/ work book to the schools requirements.
IMPORTED RAW MATERIAL
Most of our equipment and raw materials are imported from Overseas especially from Japan and European countries to ensure that we print with top notch machines using high quality materials.
