Didier Aaron Gallery was pleased to present Travelling is an Art, an exclusive drawings of Jean-Pierre HEIM, that’s the key role of values in an ongoing exhibition that showcases the evocative works of the internationally acclaimed architect Jean-Pierre HEIM. The exhibition that’s still currently on view started from May 29, 2025, as its scheduled to end on June 20, 2025, following an opening reception on May 28, 2025 at the office of Didier Aaron Inc. 32 East 67th Street, New York, (NY)

Jean-Pierre HEIM, is an award-winning architect who draws inspiration from his extensive travels across more than 80 countries, including Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Greece, China, Tibet, and Central and South Asia. His drawings capture the essence of historical relics and architectural landmarks, offering a deeply personal interpretation of the cultural and historical narratives embedded within them.

Through his unique ability to master inventive interplay of form, color, and composition, Heim’s work and creations transcends architectural blueprints, evolving into artistic expressions that reflect his deep understanding of history, archaeology, and geography. Each piece in Travelling is an Art serves as a memory to his ability to bridge the past and present, inviting viewers on a journey through time and place. The exhibition will present a selection of Heim’s drawings, executed in a variety of mediums, including ink and watercolor. His precise yet expressive line-work, often layered with delicate washes of color, brings ancient ruins, world monuments, and intimate landscapes to life.

Jean-Pierre HEIM is the founder of Jean-Pierre HEIM and Associates, with offices in New York, Paris, Athens, and Shanghai. His diverse portfolio includes luxury hotels, restaurants, commercial centers, resorts, private residences, and yachts worldwide. His collaboration with Didier Aaron Inc. founded in 1923, a distinguished gallery with locations in Paris, New York, and London, specialized in fine art, particularly paintings and drawings, on this project has inventively redefined art and architecture into a global culture.

Celebrating exclusive design by Tales Creative

Tales Create again, demonstrated their rich design prowess as the global renowned Shanghai-based Interior Design firm recently completed an exclusive project for one of their long-term clients Tengda Construction who invited the founder of Tales Creative, Gao Lingli last year to create a new office space for the them in the vibrant city of Hangzhou. Understanding the importance of the project not just to the client but also to their open-minded approach to business and the youthful energy of Hangzhou itself, Tales Creative conceived an overall concept inspired by Cubism, using its structural principles to fuse various architectural and landscape elements, and transforming the top floor of the Taizhou Tengda Center into a vividly colorful space.

Tales imagined new ways of working that can strike emotional connection through an exclusive conceptual design that incorporated aesthetic bold colors and striking forms of Pop Art, as well as actual paintings throughout the seven-storey building, to create an artistic spatial progression for guests and workers alike. The project sections is briefly highlighted below:

The Art of Living: Morning Light, Evening Color

Celebrating exclusive design by OMA

In defining Islamic Art, I believe it’s something that focuses on the depiction of patterns and Arabic calligraphy, not human or animal figures, because Muslims see the depiction of the human or animal form as idolatry and a sin against God that is forbidden in the Qur'an. Sometimes the exceptional tranquility of Islamic Art in an environment emulates the definition of Islam which says that ‘’Islam is a religion of peace and total submission to the will of Allah.’’

In demonstrating their inventive design prowess which OMA is globally known for, the firm redefined Islamic art into some thrilling experiences through unending stares that can ignite a deep human imagination in wonderland. The second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah that’s currently ongoing, features scenography designed by OMA‘s Iyad Alsaka and Kaveh Dabiri. Titled, And All That Is In Between, exploring the connection between faith, artistic expression and craftsmanship that create a clear narrative that connects historical artifacts and contemporary art in Saudi Arabia.

The Exclusive Qi Yuan Live-Work Space by Designer Sun Yuanliang

Project Photographer: Zhong Jifa, Yigao

Celebrating Exclusive Design by Designer Sun Yuanliang

The inspiration behind this exclusive building transformation was the tranquility and exciting sound that attracted attention. Two years ago, designer Sun Yuanliang relocated his studio to a small courtyard, which he also began to use as a vacation home. "Qi Yuan" represents the designer and owner’s desire to inhabit a symbolic mountain forest within an urban setting. This garden, located to the south of the Yangtze River, reflects a connection with nature and represents a poetic lifestyle within a contemporary Chinese context.

Located in the ancient city area of Suzhou, this residential building was bought by designer Sun Yuanliang in June 2018. The exclusive transformed building is just a 15-minute walk from the most famous Jiangnan-style gardens, including the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, and the Suzhou Museum designed by I.M. Pei. To the east lies the Pingjiang Road Historical District, which is a 2-kilometer walk to Suzhou Park. Unlike the bustling tourist area, this location is in a relatively quiet and ordinary residential neighborhood. Only the gentle sounds of conversation, barking dogs, and bicycle bells can be heard here in the background.

The inventive space’s concept was formed by the dialogue between the new and the old, with the intent to bridge the gap between architectural design and the residents. Ensuring that individuals and spaces are ideally interconnected, as the designers aimed to foster a sense of closeness and community among the people within these environments. Designer Sun Yuanliang has transformed the classical pavilion in the corner into a modern steel structure. While enjoying tea and the scenery, one can appreciate a rustic charm that is elegant yet contemporary. Visitors can also get a close-up view of the plants and flowers and even have the opportunity to interact with nearby fish.
