None of his parents lived up to 60, but today, RMD clocks 64

Today, Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo clocks 64. He was born on Thursday July 6, 1961 in Delta State

When he was 61, he granted an interview where he said none of his parents lived up to 60.

He said:

"None of my parents lived to be 60, so life for me is just about to get started. There’s been a specter of dæth around my life, that’s what I’ve been dealing with last year till this year. When I turned 59, it was a big deal for me, big deal for me! My mom d!ed at 59, my father d!ed at 57/58.

“So, it was like, can I break it? When people see me and I go on a weight loss, people think that… you know, it’s health. Both my parents were diabet!c and hypertens!ve, I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to be diabetic and hypertensive, I want to be healthier. At least give myself a fighting chance to change that whole cycle. Yes I’m a Christian now, so I’ve broken that yøke but I have to also help myself.”

"I’ve kept quiet for too long, but I can’t anymore.
There was an audition back in 2003. The moment I heard about it, I jumped on my bike and rushed there early the next morning. I was tired and hungry, so I went to a woman selling meat nearby.

That’s when Mercy Johnson asked me to buy two meats for her. I didn’t even think twice—I paid.

But up till today, she has NEVER refunded me! I still have the receipt and everything. Let her come and deny it😁.
