𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒||𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐛: 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭; 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦

Students gathered at the Celeste Gymnasium on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, for a vibrant celebration titled “𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐛: 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬.” The event, initiated by the Supreme Student Council under the leadership of 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐨, brought together the academic community for a night of unity and creativity. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥 𝐋. 𝐃𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐥 graced the occasion, showing strong support for student-led activities and campus engagement.

The celebration was attended by students from four academic programs: BSEd, BEEd, BS-ABM, and BSBA. Participants filled the gymnasium with energy and enthusiasm as they showcased their talents and supported their peers. The program highlighted the diverse skills and creativity of the student body, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose behind the theme, “All in Feb: One Heart, Many Beats.”

The event was organized to strengthen unity among students and to recognize their talents through friendly competitions and artistic expression. One of the highlights of the celebration was the awarding of certificates to the winners of the Music Video Contest, Slogan Making Contest, Digital Art Contest, and Spoken Word Poetry Contest. Through these activities, the Supreme Student Council aimed to promote creativity, teamwork, and a sense of belonging within the campus community.

The 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 celebrated 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 with the theme “𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬” at the Celeste Gymnasium on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, uniting students, faculty members, and staff in a meaningful celebration that promoted love, inclusivity, and solidarity within the academic community. The event was organized by the 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐒𝐒𝐂) in partnership with the 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃)office to strengthen camaraderie and highlight the importance of unity despite individual differences.

The program officially began with the recitation of the PSU EOMS Policy led by 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐌. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 this was followed by the opening remarks of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐃. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳- 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, who emphasized that although students come from different courses and backgrounds, they beat as one heart within the university. In behalf of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥 𝐋. 𝐃𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐥, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀. 𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐳 delivered the message for all the students and faculty.
“Listen before reacting, offer yourself not just give, Value people, and emphasize with others.” She highlighted that genuine love is shown through empathy, respect, and understanding.

Meanwhile, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐨-𝐒𝐒𝐂 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, presented the Statement of the Purpose, explaining that the celebration aimed to showcase students’ talents while promoting unity on campus. One of the highlights of the program was the presentation of the music video “Di Ka Sayang” by Ben&Ben, which added a heartfelt atmosphere to the event.

Various competitions were held, including the Slogan Making Contest, Spoken Word Poetry, and Digital Art Making Contest, where students creatively expressed their interpretations of the theme “One Heart, Many Beats.”

The ceremonial ribbon cutting, led by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐃. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐨, marked the official opening of the booths. Different student organizations prepared interactive booths such as the 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗔, 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐌𝐂𝐎, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐲 𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐏𝐀, 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐔𝐑-𝐀𝐒, 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐚𝐫 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑, 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐀𝐌, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀. These booths brought excitement and enjoyment to the participants throughout the celebration.

As the event concluded, the “One Heart, Many Beats” celebration successfully strengthened relationships among students and faculty members, reminding the entire PSU Infanta community that despite having different rhythms in life, they all share one heart.

The 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆–𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲 in collaboration with the 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐄. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐂𝐁𝐑𝐂) 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡, the aforementioned quiz bee was joined by 𝟔𝟎 Education Students in the campus on February 13, 2026.

It formally begins with the preliminaries, followed by the message of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐃. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬–𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐲𝐚 𝐉𝐫-𝐂𝐁𝐑𝐂 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫, introduce the mechanics of the competition and serves as the quiz master.

The student participants compete on Easy, Average and difficult round. While 𝐌𝐬. 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚–𝐁𝐒𝐄-𝟑 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐡𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐌. 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚–𝐁𝐒𝐄-𝟏 enters the clincher round for 3rd placer.

The battle of the brain was ended with the awarding of certificate and medals to the top 3 winners named as: 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚–𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫, 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂. 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐨–𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬–𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫. Tejero and Almandres will move to provincial level at Urdaneta City Pangasinan.

The event formally ended with the awarding of certificate to the CBRC-Alaminos and to the institution. Lastly, Dr. Rosanna D. Gonzales give her message for all the teacher education students. This event serves as the preparation for all the students education for their journey to licensure examination.

The Dur-As, the official student publication of Pangasinan State University-Infanta Campus, once again proved its journalistic excellence as its delegates emerged victorious during the 24𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗥𝗛𝗘𝗣𝗖) held from February 4 to 6 at J&V Resort and Hotel, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The Dur-As delegation was composed of 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇, 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳-𝘪𝘯-𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘧; 𝗦𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗧. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳; 𝗦𝗵𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗟. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝘍𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳; 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵; 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀, 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵; and 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗠. 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝘓𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵. The delegates competed in various individual categories, demonstrating journalistic competence, creativity, and professionalism.

𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇, 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳-𝘪𝘯-𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘧 of Dur-As, secured 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 in the highly competitive category of 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 (𝗢𝗧𝗖𝗝) in the Region 1. The recognition highlighted Dela Cruz’s consistent commitment to ethical journalism, leadership in campus press, and outstanding contributions to student publication throughout his 4 years as tertiary campus journalist.

Adding to the institution’s pride, 𝗦𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗧. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳, clinched 𝗦𝗜𝗫𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 in 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼). Her entry showcased strong narrative flow, accuracy, and a deep understanding of sports journalism.

Meanwhile, 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀, the team’s Cartoonist, earned recognition as 𝗦𝗜𝗫𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 in 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 (𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼). His work stood out for its creativity, relevance, and visual impact, effectively conveying social messages through artistic expression.

The achievements of the three delegates underscore the dedication, talent, and perseverance of the Dur-As staff in honing their craft despite the rigorous standards of regional competition. Their success not only brought honor to the publication but also served as an inspiration to aspiring campus journalists

𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹 𝗟. 𝗗𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘌𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, gave his gratitude to the PSU-IC delegates. His consistent support is everlasting in always showing his appreciation for representing the beloved PSU-Infanta.

As the RHEPC continues to be a platform for journalistic excellence and press freedom among higher education institutions, the victories of Dela Cruz, S. Mirador, and Bonus, also the participation of Quinacman, M. Mirador, and Abille reaffirm Dur-As' commitment to responsible, relevant, and impactful campus journalism.
