A lot of thoughtful people—especially the responsible, caretaker type—fall into the habit of thinking “𝙄𝙛 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜, 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙩.”

But life doesn’t work that way.

Sometimes:

You did your best and it still failed.

You loved someone and they still hurt you.

You worked hard and things still didn’t work out.

That’s not failure. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮.

The real power move is learning to ask one question:

“𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮?”

A lot of people carry guilt for things that were never fully in their control. Humans like to believe we control everything—because control feels safe. But the truth is: 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙢𝙞𝙭 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚’𝙨 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨.

So guilt can become a trap when it turns into 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮.

There are three kinds of situations in life:

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙 → Learn from it, fix what you can, move forward.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡 → Reflect, adjust, but don’t punish yourself forever.

⏰ Staying up late when something breaks.
🤝 Holding space for clients who are stressed, burnt out, or unclear.

Virtual Assistants are not “just” support.
Virtual Assistants are the calm under pressure = the ones who fix, figure out, and follow through.

Me as someone that has done hiring and and scheduling, my opinion for Hiring Managers:

❌ Rather than a fully open-ended question ("What time works for you?") or a rigid, non-negotiable appointment.

🎯 This approach provides a balance of efficiency, respect, professionalism, and candidate experience.

⚡ Faster hiring and reduced back and forth emails to find time.

🔥 Respects candidate time by offering choices. Hiring specialists and managers are not just the one who are managing their busy schedules, applicants too. Don't have the idea of "If they don't want this time slot, then they don't like to work". Don't treat interviewers like they're cornered.

🧩 Ensures Efficiency by the interviewer to block out times that do not conflict with their own productivity or other interviews.
