โ€œLaban sa kamatayan na hindi ko pinagsisihan para lamang sa kalayaan ng mamamayang Pilipino.โ€

โ€œIsang walang katumbas na halaga ang mamatay para sa minamahal na mamamayang Pilipino.โ€

โ€œHindi ko alam kung ako ba ay ligtas, basta para sa bayanโ€ฆ ako ay lalaban.โ€

โ€ŽPalompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Tabango formally kicked off Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 through its General Orientation on August 19, 2026, at the PIT Tabango Multi-Purpose Covered Court, gathering faculty members, first year students, and parents, along with three representatives from the PIT Main Campus who joined the orientation and shared their support for the academic community.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe event formally commenced with a prayer led by Dr. Christian Caben M. Larisma, Head of General and Teacher Education (GenEd), followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, led by Ms. Jessa P. Baloro, faculty member.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe orientation proceeded with a welcome message from Dr. Nelson N. Enage, VPAA of PIT Main, before moving to discussions on the institutionโ€™s history, vision, mission, goals, organizational structure, academic policies, student discipline, and various student services.
โ€Ž
โ€Žโ€œEducation is not only about gaining knowledge. It is about preparing ourselves for a better life in the future. Through education, students can gain opportunities, make better choices, and build a future that is better than what they have today,โ€ Dr. Enage added, reminding students that the knowledge, values, and experiences they gain throughout their education can help shape the opportunities and choices they will have in the years ahead.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAmong the speakers were Dr. Christian Caben M. Larisma, Head of General and Teacher Education (GenEd), who delivered a message highlighting the importance of active participation, responsibility, and commitment among students as they embark on a new academic year. In his message, Dr. Larisma reminded students that success is not solely measured by personal achievements, but by living according to Godโ€™s purpose and direction.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž"Godโ€™s purpose is not really to make a person successful. If there is a person who is first in Christ, there is no one who is first in his own mind. We are called to live according to His will and purpose,โ€ Dr. Larisma stated.
โ€Ž
The program continued with the speakers sharing meaningful insights and experiences aimed at guiding and inspiring the students throughout the academic year.

โ€ŽThe discussion highlighted the importance of being responsible, committed, and actively involved in both academic and extracurricular activities. Encouraging the students to make the most of the opportunities provided by the institution, while reminding them not to be afraid to express themselves, share their thoughts, and openly communicate what they feel.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThrough this message, the students were encouraged to become more confident in voicing their ideas and concerns and to recognize that expressing themselves is an important part of their personal growth and development.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe orientation concluded with closing remarks delivered by the Campus Director, Dr. Catalino L. Centillas Jr., who emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among parents, students, and the institution in shaping responsible and competent individuals.
โ€Ž
โ€Žโ€œLet us move forward together, parents and students, with one vision, one commitment, and one circle of support to help our students become responsible, competent, and well-rounded individuals," he stated.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽMore than an introduction to the institution, the activity emphasized the importance of responsibility, active participation, self-expression, and collaboration among students, parents, faculty, and school administrators. With a shared commitment and vision, the PIT Tabango community looks forward to a productive academic year filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful experiences.

โ€ŽWe, the youth, are more than just the leaders of tomorrowโ€”we are the changemakers of today. With our voices, ideas, courage, and collective action, we have the power to shape the future we envision. Because meaningful change begins when we choose to step forward, speak up, and take action.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽMay we all have the voice and the bravery to lead, act and participate and may we all seize the chance to make a difference, because it is only by engaging with the power of youth that we can shape a better future.

Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs) officially received their pins for their new journey in teaching during the 2026 Pre-Service Teachers Pinning Ceremony anchored by the theme" Pinned with Purpose, Inspired to Serve: Celebrating the Next Generation of Educators" held at PIT- Tabango Multi-purpose Court, August 11, 2026.โ€™

The ceremony began with a ceremonial entrance of the Pre-Service Teachers (PST) with their parents, followed by the faculty, the Head of General and Teacher Education Department, Head of Instruction, Campus Director, and the Guest Speaker.

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Christian Caben Larisma, Head of General Teacher Education Department reminded the Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs) that the pins on their uniform represents far more than an academic milestone. It stands as a symbol of their preparation, deep dedication, and their willingness to embrace the noble task of teaching.

To guide them through the trials in teaching profession, Dr. Larisma reminded them of the passage in 1 Corinthians 15:58 " Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord." He noted that the scripture may serve as a constant reminder to remain steadfast in purpose, faithful in service, and deeply committed to excellence especially when the professional journey becomes challenging.

The statement of purpose was delivered by Dr. Deane N. Mendoza, Head of Instruction where he stated, "The pin symbolizes more than academic achievement. It represents purpose, professionalism and service, applies the values and responsibilities of teaching profession and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners."

The ceremony then moved to the most awaited moment for the Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs), where they formally received their pins during the pinning ceremony.

The PSTs and their parents were moved to tears while the PSTs sang their inspirational performance with the song The Climb by Miley Cyrus and Salamat by Yeng Constatino.

In his inspirational talk, Mr. Clark Delima Seriรฑo, School Head of Tahad Elementary School and PITT-BSHTE alumnus of Batch 2010, he challenged the PSTs to prioritize learner impact rather than perfection. He emphasized that the newly received badges do not mark their final destination, but it are reminders of a lifelong professional journey ahead.

According to Mr. Seriรฑo, "You do not have to be a perfect teacher. You simply have to be the teacher who's willing to learn, willing to improve and willing to care. As you continue your practice teaching, there will be days where you feel confident and days where you will question yourself; there will be lessons that will succeed beyond your expectations and there will be lessons that will leave you thinking 'What could I have done better?' When that happens do not be discouraged, instead you have to number one reflect, listen, learn and try again."

After the inspirational talk of the guest speaker, the ceremony continued with the awarding of certificate of recognition and giving of the token of appreciation; followed by the oath taking of the newly elected SEA officers.

The event concluded with the closing remarks from the Campus Director, Dr. Catalino L. Centillas Jr., where he expressed his great support to the PSTs. He also advised the PSTs to see beyond grades and academic performance, to see the learners always, understand the learners and believe in the learners because a teacher's simple word of encouragement may become the reason that students refuse to give up. He also emphasized, " The pin symbolizes more than academic achievement it represents purpose, professionalism and service applies the values and responsibilities of teaching profession and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of learners."
