𝗔 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿

Independence Day is more than a page in history's textbooks or an annual celebration in the calendar. It is a powerful testament under a single and unwavering dedication and vision to fight for the same goal. This is the day to look to our flag and to remember the cost of the soil we stand upon today. A nation's freedom doesn't start when the chains are finally broken; it starts when the people choose to unite for the same reason.

Today, we honor the all those who show up and refuse to accept their destiny to be written by someone. We pause to honor their courage to fought for our freedom to speak our minds, pursue our passions, and shape our future that often taken for granted. Their legacy is not just recorded in history it is woven into the fabric of our everyday life.

True independence is when we actively choose unity over division, empathy over indifference, and progress over stagnation. Sovereignty is a continuous journey that requires us to actively show up for our community, defend the rights our neighbors, and constantly thrive for a progress.

As we celebrate the 128th Independence Day, we are reminded of our shared responsibility to have a society where liberty is guaranteed for all.

Let's all carry the spirit of this day beyond the celebration and let it inspire us to become better citizens, and a protector of our hard-won rights. To the rich history who shape us, to the freedom that unites us, and to the future awaits ahead of us.

𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗠 𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗘𝗗 | 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗

Pursuant to Office Memorandum No. 12, s. 2026, the Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT)Tabango has officially implemented a Wellness Break Hour during the summer break period to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of faculty members and employees.

Effective immediately, employees may participate in wellness activities starting at 4:00 PM onwards, including walking, jogging, sports, exercise sessions, and other fitness-related pursuits within the campus premises. The initiative aims to encourage healthier lifestyles, stress management, work-life balance, and overall wellness while ensuring the continuous delivery of institutional services.

The memorandum underscores the institution’s commitment to fostering a healthier, more productive, and engaged workforce through wellness-centered programs and activities.

𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 | Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Tabango officially took part in the CHED GINHAWA Student Well-Being Summit 2026 held at Twin Lakes Hotel, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, Laurel Batangas, earlier today, June 3.

Rhea Bea Limpiado of The Builder, accompanied by Dr. Mabel A. Donaire, Head of the Office of Student Development Services (OSDS), joined student leaders and student affairs practitioners from various higher education institutions nationwide for the opening activities of the summit centered on wellness, leadership, and holistic student development.

Anchored with the theme, “Inspiring Wellness, Leadership, and Purpose in Higher Education,” the two-day summit aims to strengthen student well-being initiatives and promote healthier learning environments across higher education institutions.

“No student should succeed at the cost of their well-being. No student should struggle alone. No student should face mental health challenges without support,” said Dr. Ferdinand V. Mendoza, RPSY, President of City College of Tagaytay, during the Plenary Session 1: GINHAWA Talks: Reimagining Student WellBeing in Higher Education focusing on the personal wellbeing and development of the students within the institution.

In line with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum No. 178, s. 2026, Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Tabango participates in the GINHAWA Student Well-being Summit: Inspiring Wellness, Leadership, and Purpose in Higher Education to be held at Twin Lakes Hotel, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, Laurel, Batangas, on June 3–4.

Representing the institution is Rhea Bea Limpiado of The Builder, accompanied by Dr. Mabel A. Donaire, Head of the Office of Student Development Services (OSDS). The participants arrived today, June 2, at Avida Units Staycation near Ayala Serin, Tagaytay City, in preparation for the two-day national summit.

The summit gathers student leaders and student affairs practitioners from various higher education institutions nationwide to strengthen student wellness initiatives, leadership engagement, and holistic student development.

In celebration of National Smile Day, students are encouraged to smile more, laugh more, and avoid assuming “ni smile siyas akoa” means something deeper. Sources confirmed that delusion levels remain critically high across the grounds.

𝟲𝟭 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗶𝗱

A total of 61 Latin honors graduates of the PIT Tabango Campus, comprising 4 Magna Cum Laude and 57 Cum Laude awardees during the 25th Commencement Exercises for Academic Year 2025-2026, received cash assistance on Thursday afternoon, May 28, at the campus Function Hall.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Action Center Head of Villaba, Leyte, Mr. Joshua Costillas, warmly congratulated the beneficiaries and shared that from the start of 2026 up to the middle of the year, their office had already extended financial assistance to at least five municipalities across Leyte's 3rd District.

Meanwhile, each beneficiary received ₱5,000, amounting to a total of ₱305,000 sourced from the DSWD Region VIII. The assistance was made possible through the efforts of DSWD Regional Director Grace Q. Subong, who previously delivered an inspirational message during the 25th Commencement Exercises for Batch Hiraya, Class of 2026.

During her message, she formally recognized PIT Tabango Campus as one of the agency's institutional partners, which paved the way for the release of the cash assistance a day after the momentous celebration.

Furthermore, the assistance aims to support the graduates in their future academic and professional endeavors. Several students from various programs gracefully expressed their sincerest appreciation to DSWD and shared that they planned to use the cash assistance as an initial support as they step into the next phase of their journey.

“This support will help me pay my remaining balance in the review center and my boarding house expenses while preparing for the Licensure Examination for Teachers,” shared Ms. Laigie Mondelo, a BTLEd graduate.

Likewise, Ms. Jonnah Mae Condes, a beneficiary from the BTVTEd program, expressed her gratitude for the financial support, saying, “As a Latin honor, I consider this opportunity both a privilege and a responsibility. I promise to continue doing my best academically and to use the support [they] have provided wisely.”

“I was delighted and happy because it was a big help and a large amount of money. After receiving it, the first thing I did was buy half a sack of rice and give my Mama some money, because I wouldn’t have received it without her. So, I am thankful to DSWD for this wonderful gift,” gracefully expressed by Ms. Jerracil Salidaga, a BSIT Latin honor graduate.

The subsidy, provided by DSWD 8–Eastern Visayas, affirms the agency’s commitment to supporting municipalities of the district and other vulnerable sectors.

The office of the DSWD Region VIII held an orientation at PIT Tabango Campus on Basic Programs and Partnerships, last Wednesday, May 28, at the campus Multi-Purpose Covered Court.

Selected representatives from the DSWD Region VIII office, with the Regional Director, gathered along with the campus' faculty members, staff, and the OIC President, with the aim of discussing programs and collaborations between the institutions. DSWD VIII Regional Director, Dir. Grace Q. Subong, took charge of the event.

Details of the aforementioned matter were discussed thoroughly, ensuring a clear understanding of the agreements as these are to be beneficial for the community as a whole. This collaborative effort is expected to bridge the gap between academic theories and actual community service, providing the community with concrete avenues for growth.

𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲

Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Tabango successfully conducted its 25th Commencement Exercises for Batch Hiraya, Class of 2026, at the Tabango Sports and Social Center on May 27.

A total of 293 graduates marched proudly during the ceremony, marking another milestone in the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student success. Among the graduates, 61 students received Latin Honors where the institution proudly recognized 4 Magna Cum Laude and 57 Cum Laude, in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and dedication throughout their college journey.

25th Commencement Exercises speaker DSWD Region VIII Director Grace Q. Subong, delivered an inspiring message that encouraged the graduates to pursue their dreams with determination, integrity, and resilience.

“Hindi pala madali ang college journey. Just like anyone of you, ako rin ay dumanas ng hirap, hindi lang para ipasa ang mga exams at makapagsubmit ng school requirements, kundi para harapin din ang iba’t ibang pressures. In every achievement lies the result of perseverance, sacrifice, and determination,” she emphasized during her address.

Following the commencement address, Municipal Mayor, Hon. Maricor Remandaban also shared words of inspiration for the graduates, reminding them to remain hopeful and steadfast as they enter a new chapter of their lives.

“Cherish the memories of the past while looking forward to the future,” she stated.

With the spirit of Batch Hiraya, the graduates celebrated not only the completion of their academic journey but also the realization of their aspirations and future goals.

The 25th Commencement Exercises served as a memorable occasion filled with pride, gratitude, and hope for the future.
