The mountains give us purpose, but they also remind us of their power.
Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of the ten climbers who tragically lost their lives on Broad Peak.
They came from different places, carried different dreams, and walked different paths, yet they were united by one love, the mountains. They accepted the risks not because they underestimated them, but because they understood that some dreams are worth dedicating a lifetime to pursuing.
Behind every climber was a family waiting for their return, friends sharing in their dreams, teammates who trusted one another, and a community that now grieves together. No summit is worth more than a human life, yet those who choose this path know that the mountains offer no guarantees.
May we remember them not only for how they left this world, but for how they lived, with courage, humility, determination, and an unwavering passion for the high places of the Earth.
Our deepest condolences go out to their families, loved ones, teammates, rescuers, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
May their memories live on in every horizon, every prayer, and every step taken by those who continue to follow the path they once walked.
