Recovery isn’t something we have to do alone. ❤️

Johnny Armijo, CPSW, shares one of the biggest lessons from his own recovery: surround yourself with people who are succeeding in theirs. People who care about themselves, care about you, and want to see you grow.

Sometimes changing your life starts with changing who you surround yourself with.

Salencia Thompson survived addiction, fought to regain custody of her daughter, and found the strength to get out of domestic violence.

For generations, trauma had been passed down. Today, Salencia can say something she has never been able to say before: “I’m proud of myself.” She broke the cycle. ❤️

Native women are fighters. 🪶❤️

Sometimes that strength is misunderstood. Behind it can be generations of trauma, loss, survival, and experiences that others may never fully see.

But there is also so much healing happening.

There are incredible Native women rising, succeeding, sharing their stories, and reaching back to help other women find their way forward. When women come together in community, they create something powerful—a place of understanding, strength, and hope.

For the women who are still struggling: your story isn’t over. There is still hope. There is still community. And there are women ready to walk beside you. ❤️

For years, Lupe Sanchez carried shame about her addiction. Today, she sees her recovery as one of her greatest strengths.

She believes that when we share our stories openly, we not only continue our own healing but we give hope to someone who may be struggling in silence.

Recovery doesn’t have to be hidden. Recover loudly. Your story could change a life. ❤️

Recovery isn’t perfect, but for many, a methadone clinic is a safe place to find stability, support, and hope.
