🛩️ Tin Goose Diner — Honest Review (Ohio)

We stopped in at the Tin Goose Diner after hearing they had the best milkshakes in Ohio. Here's my straight-up take:

The Milkshake ($8): It was okay. Not worth $8. You can get a better milkshake at McDonald's, Five Guys, or literally any local ice cream shop for the same price or less.

Cranberry Chicken Salad Croissant ($10 — no side): The menu calls it "piled high" and homemade. What showed up was a thin smear of what looked like processed chicken salad from a food supplier with craisins tossed in to dress it up. Not homemade. For $10 with zero side dish, this is a $6-7 sandwich at best.
Large Fries ($6): Barely a half serving. Looked like a child's portion. Under-seasoned and forgettable.

The one thing I WILL recommend: If the weather is nice, go grab a milkshake or malt and sit outside on the patio to watch the planes take off and land. That experience is genuinely fun and worth the trip.

But if you're going for the food expecting great value or homemade quality — skip it. Your money goes a lot further elsewhere.

Finally thought about it just in time to try out a little lunch spot yesterday and honestly… It was definitely worth it.
Potato salad was completely different than any potato salad I've ever eaten, and really good. The pasta salad was solid even though I'm not into pasta salad, I really like the artichoke in it, well seasoned, nothing crazy but done right. The caramelized onion dip was legit 🔥 Paired with those house chips… dangerous combo.
That Chex mix dessert though… yeah that didn’t last long. Sweet, crunchy, addictive as hell.
Sandwiches were loaded and fresh. Turkey and Italian both had good flavor, quality ingredients, no complaints there. Only knock for me — I’m just not a fan of the focaccia they used. Wish there was another bread option because that would’ve taken it to another level.
Overall though? Great food, great flavors, and you can tell there’s some care going into it.
Would I go back? Hell yeah! 👍👍

I tried these taco sauces I found at Walmart. The Chipotle pineapple is a little thicker than your typical taco sauce, but has a nice flavor and sweetness. Scorpion pepper and truffle was better than I expected since I don't like truffle, but it was very disappointing on the heat level. There was none. Either way, I definitely recommend trying one or both for only $2.
