My first sponsor, a good friend, gave me simple but powerful advice when I got my own apartment after getting clean. 'Go lay down in your bed. Call me when you wake up. Then, shower, get dressed, and go to work. Call me when you get off.' This accountability and routine helped me stay on track, one day at a time. If you divert from the plan, you risk going back to old habits.
