Atlanta Methodist Day School We are a Christian based program that provides quality education and the highest care for Infants - Pre-K 4. Come join our Day School family!

We also enroll school age students for after school care and during the Summer months. ✨ Atlanta Methodist Day School uses state-approved curriculums such as “Frog Street” & “We Can” in order to provide quality education to our students. We participate in the Texas School Ready program which provides mentoring & training for our teachers. We have monthly events for our students, including Grandpar

ents' Supper, Book Fair, Pumpkin Patch, Noah’s Ark Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, Valentine's Day parties, Trike-A-Thon, Rodeo Day and End of the Year Programs. We also have special visits from community helpers such as the Fire and Police departments and most importantly the pastor of the church visits on Wednesdays to teach our students stories from the bible!

Our Story

FUMC Day School provides preschool and extended care options for children ages 2 months thru Pre-K 4. We use high quality, state-approved curriculums - Frog Street in our Pre-K 2 and Pre-K 3 classes and We Can! in our Pre-K 4 classes. We successfully participate in the Texas School Ready program. Texas School Ready (TSR) is a comprehensive preschool teacher training program combining a research-based, state-adopted curriculum with ongoing professional development and progress monitoring tools. We have monthly events such as: Grandparents' Pancake Supper, Pumpkin Patch, Thanksgiving and Christmas programs, Valentine's Day Heart Ball and classroom parties, Rodeo Day, St. Jude Trike-A-Thon, and end-of-the-year programs. We also have special visits from community helpers such as the Fire and Police departments.

In addition, FUMC offers care for school-age children 5 through 12 years of age. Our Summer Camp is fun, educational, and packed with activities and games throughout the day. Our after school care program provides the same options with homework help available to students as well. Atlanta ISD and Queen City ISD provides bus transportation to our campus after school each day.

Our overall program strives for excellence and we consistently exceed the Texas Minimum Child Care Standards for licensed facilities. Examples of how we exceed include, but are not limited to, areas such as: child-staff ratios, annual education training hours for staff and management, and CPR and First Aid (we require ALL staff members to be current).
