🌟 Important Announcement from The Boll Weevil Cafe 🌟

To our loyal friends, family, and patrons of Augusta —
We want to take a moment to share an important update and a bit of our journey with you.

Our restaurant will be closed for renovations from Monday, November 3rd through Wednesday, November 5th, as we continue making much-needed improvements to our space and operations.

Since the hurricane and the ongoing downtown construction began, it’s been a challenging road for many small businesses in our area — including ours. We’ve faced everything from major repair needs to landlord issues and even the threat of eviction at one point early this year. Through it all, our former General Manager (and now proud Owner) Rafael Gonzalez fought tirelessly week after week to keep our doors open and our community fed. 💪

Today, we’re grateful to say things are looking brighter than ever. With new partners and a supportive landlord, we’ve begun a new chapter — one filled with growth, stability, and big dreams. Over the past few months, we’ve made several upgrades, including a brand-new HVAC system installed in September, repairs to long-standing ceiling leaks, and now, exciting kitchen renovations and dining room improvements that will make your next visit better than ever.

Our new partners not only believe in us, but they also believe in Augusta — and together, we have some big plans ahead for our beloved downtown area.

We ask that as we take these few days to refresh, you continue to support local businesses in the downtown area. Every visit, every coffee, every meal helps all of us move closer to a stronger, more vibrant community — and even speeds up the progress of downtown’s ongoing revitalization.

While our restaurant will be closed during these renovations, our bakery, Cotton Bug Bakery, will be closed on Monday but open for its regular hours Tuesday/Wednesday, serving coffee, cake slices, breakfast bites, and all your favorite sweet treats. ☕🍰

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for standing by us through every challenge and every triumph. We can’t wait to welcome you back on Thursday, November 6th, to show you what we’ve been working on and to continue serving the incredible people of the CSRA and beyond. 💛

With love and gratitude,
The Boll Weevil Family
