Beige moms, you may have reached Little Tikes. 😆

The brand’s new Cloud Collection gives seven of its colorful playtime classics—including the Cozy Coupe, Cozy Truck, basketball set, play table, chairs, and two wagons—a neutral makeover designed to complement today’s homes.

And naturally, parents have serious thoughts. Some love that the toys blend in with their decor, while others are wondering why childhood needs to be devoid of all color.

The collection launches exclusively on Amazon tomorrow, September 15. Comment CLOUD and we’ll send you the link!

Are you into the neutral makeover or prefer the classic colors?

Screens may have been a lifeline in 2020, but now schools are rethinking how (and how often!) they’re used in the classroom.

This year, at least 17 states have introduced classroom screen-time legislation and states like Alabama, Iowa, Tennessee, and Utah have enacted new laws around it. New York City and Los Angeles are also rolling out limits, with NYC banning screen use through second grade.

What are the screen time rules in your school?

First came blueberries. Then paint, grass, markers, and eventually a son whose favorite things changed from unicorns one week to space the next.

For Brooklyn-based mom Prue Linehan, replacing another perfectly good shirt stopped making sense.

“I found myself throwing away his clothes simply because buying something new was easier. That was my aha moment: kids don’t need more new clothes, we need easier ways to keep the clothes we already have.”

That idea became New New Patch: washable, peel-and-stick fabric patches created to cover stubborn stains, refresh clothes kids have lost interest in, and keep them in rotation longer— without sewing or ironing.

We spoke with Prue about turning a familiar parenting problem into a new way to give kids’ clothes a second act.

“Maybe next it goes to a local dye bath. Then Grandma gets involved and embroiders it. Sticker Patches aren’t the only answer. We’re just one really easy place to start.”

File this under good news for moms who had babies in their 30s. 👀

Researchers at Boston University School of Medicine studied 462 women and found that those who had their last child after age 33 had twice the odds of living to 95 or older compared with women who had their last child by age 29.

The study’s authors emphasize that the natural ability to have children later in life may be a sign that the reproductive system (and the rest of the body) is aging more slowly.

How old were you when you had your last baby?

Miss Uganda Trivia Elle Muhoza just brought the physical reality of C-section birth to the Miss World stage in Vietnam.

Created by Ugandan designer (and new mom!) KEESHA, the Layers of Life gown uses layers of multicolored tulle to represent the seven anatomical layers doctors must navigate to deliver a baby via C-section.

The dress challenges the idea that a Cesarean birth is the “easy way” to deliver a baby.
