Extreme Cold Weather

I’m currently in Finland until the middle of January. My workers will continue to send out orders as usual but emails will not be read until I’m back in Texas.

Representing with only clean reps. I wore gloves this time so my grip was terrible.

Ok ignore my previous post because I got to 93 lbs just now! My goal is to get to 95 lb weighted muscle up by the time I turn 50 in June. Front lever goal is to get to 15 second hold by June. I’m currently at 12 seconds max so both goals seem very doable, but as with many things in life, it become exponentially harder as you get closer to your goal since the human body (never mind a 50 year old’s body) has its limits.

What are your goals for 2026?

Hail the new solar cycle! I hope everyone is enjoying New Year’s Eve with the people they care about. As the year closes, I want to reflect on what’s passed and share some thoughts on what lies ahead. 2025 tested NWN, Helios, and my family in more ways than I ever expected, but with iron will, we endured and remained standing. I plan to face 2026 with the same determination, discipline, and strength—and I hope you’ll do the same in pursuing whatever ambitions or goals you have in life.

January 2025: 71 lb weighted muscle up.
December 2025: 92 lb weighted muscle up.

Americans are encouraged to take a short flight to CDMX to attend this killer gig. The city itself is amazing to visit (tacos, pyramids, museums, etc.) and you have to experience a Mexican gig to understand why we prefer to set up gigs down there. The fans are wild!

I didn’t know about this other Eastern Front gig that took place in Berkeley. Did people refer to the East Bay as Eastern Front back then, or was this punk gig organized by the same people who had done the metal gigs at Ruthie’s Inn?

We took the shop name from the famous compilation record.

We are proud to announce an official repress of Oxiplegatz’s 2nd album from 1996. Created by Alf from Grotesque and At The Gates using riffs that he had written for both bands (along with others) to create something very different, a scifi themed Symphonic/Avant-garde metal that sometimes sounds black metal and sometimes like something out of a dystopian Disney movie soundtrack. From Alf’s liner notes:
Well, another 40 minutes of OXIPLEGATZ is completed. After the first CD, which I admit wasn’t all that successful, I feel that I have moved a step closer to the vision of my minds eye. About the music: Part 3 - “Aftermath”, was partly inspired by the film “Keoma” by E.G. Castellan. Part 5 - “Graveyard Dream”, was written for Grotesque in ’90 (previously unreleased), other parts inspired by the distant futures, created by those extraordinary minds - J. Vance, L. Niven, R. Zelany, B. Shaw and many more. Due to the extended period of recordings, the character of the songs is not entirely uniform, but anyway, this record is dedicated to those who are openminded enough not to get lost in such petty details. To name a few (no particular order): Michael S. Berberian/Season of Mist.
