This next story from now Emmy-nominated Austin InSight takes you behind the BBQ curtain at one of the top joints in Texas — LeRoy and Lewis. The restaurant takes traditional Texas BBQ and adds a twist, now paying off in the form of a Michelin Star and the #2 spot on Texas Monthly’s top BBQ list. It’s the perfect choice for our next Authentically Austin; Laura Laughead reports.

For 30 seasons, we’ve gardened, learned, and grown together. As we get ready for the new season, we’re taking a moment to look back at some of our favorite memories we’ve been able to share.

It’s hard to believe that our pilot episode was filmed in 1989. There wasn’t anything like Central Texas Gardener on the air, and we wanted to create a program that catered to our region’s quite specific gardening needs. Head to our blog to see a full recap on this wild journey that we’re so thankful you’ve taken with us.

Love,
Linda

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall. Just weeks ago, we had the great honor welcoming her into our Austin PBS studios for Overheard with Evan Smith.

Dr. Goodall’s discoveries as a passionate ethologist revolutionized science, and she was a tireless advocate for the protection and restoration of our natural world.

During her time with us she reminded us that ‘..every single day we live, every single one of us makes some impact on the planet, and we can choose what sort of impact we make.”

Her words remain a powerful reminder of the responsibility, and the hope, she leaves in our hands.

We invite you to watch her inspiring conversation with Evan Smith and celebrate her remarkable life here: https://video.austinpbs.org/video/jane-goodall-knw3gq/
