I ask myself that daily in Alaska.. how is this real?! We left the comfort of our Foretravel Motorcoach for a tent. We wanted to experience off-grid tent camping as a family of 6 for the first time. It did NOT disappoint. 🥹

⚠️ It might look tempting, but please DO NOT kayak or paddleboard here. At least when we visited, in August, the ice was extremely active. We watched football field sized icebergs flipping and completely crumbling sending tidal waves across the placid water. A group of kayakers we met there had an extremely close call with a small piece that calved, they wouldn’t have survived the two ice events we watched just hours after they got out of the water.
