Last Friday, at the artist-owned contemporary art gallery Touchstone Gallery (), NUNAR and Touchstone co-hosted a private soirée honoring Black artists shaping the D.C. and Baltimore art world with a toast — held in tandem with Touchstone’s exhibition Ain’t No Place: History and Legacy in the Black Community, curated by Charmaine Seymone (.seymone), and Makda Kibour’s The Mask I Wore.
Physical copies of NUNAR’s Issue 6 featuring 166 D.C. black contemporary artists in Beverly Price’s A Great Day in Chocolate City were also available on the evening.
