STAY TUNED - CVTV covered today's COVID-19 Press Conference with US Congressman Peter Welch at Capstone Community Action in Barre, Vermont

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the temporary closure of the Barre Area Senior Center.
__

In light of the current health crisis, We have made a decision solely based on the best interest and welfare of our members and staff.

Although we implement daily cleaning and disinfecting procedures and have been confident that our facility has been germ free, we recognize that our business focuses solely on those that would be affected most which are the elderly population and those with compromised health.

We have had no issues arise at BASC, we are simply being proactive in protecting all those associated with our facility.

We will be closing at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17 and remain closed until the end of March at which time we will re-evaluate the situation. All scheduled events for the month of March have been cancelled.

Our cleaning procedures have been effective in allowing BASC to be a safe haven for our members to come and enjoy and be “worry free” so making this precautionary decision ahead of other closings in the area has been quite difficult.

Again, Our main concern at BASC is the welfare of our members and staff.

We will update our page (Barre Area Senior Center), our website (barreseniors.org) and send emails to our members periodically with any new information. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

Stay safe, stay knowledgeable and we will see you in the very near future.
